I am curious how others deal with stress in their life's??
Me I have a few ways I listen to music which will usually help a lot..I write..Or I go outside by my butterfly garden and sit and just take in nature..
But of course sometimes it can be a lot of stress and I crack may cry and may have a few dark day's but for the most part one of my three things will wash it away. :)

I love to go outside and see nature, the sky, the universe, then it all seems very small when you consider that we are here for such a short period of time in comparison to the universe.

I agree that is something I do every morning when I drink my coffee and at night before I go to bed I sit outside while dogs go out last time

I like to smoke a nice cigar on my porch !!! with a nice cup of Joe!! ITS RIGHT ON TIME!!!!

i go for a walk. i live at the bottom of a very long and rather steep street so if i am stressed or angry or frustrated i put my 2year old daughter in her stroller and we go for a very brisk walk up our street. by the time i reach the top if my street i am so hot, sweaty, and winded that the stress or anger has left me. if it hasn't i go across to the next block and walk halfway down to cut back across to my street and walk up to the top again. even at my absolute worst, i only need to walk our hill 3 times to get the bad feelings to go away

I use to do relieve stress this way also till I moved back into town. Now just talking to my boyfriend is a stress reliever. He knows how to calm me and cheer me up pretty quick. Even with us a part from each other. Sometimes just hearing his voice helps out.

I seem to eat more. Sometime I just sit and cry.

pray and believe for the best, accentuate the positive, help others in need, and keep going forward.

I listen to good music especially in grid lock.
At home I draw or lay down in the dark and relax.
-
walk when I can, same with dance, help someone else, mp3 player, or lots of nature

I usually call my son and talk his ear off.
-
I put my stress deep inside and move on with my day.

sleep lol
No really, I like to sit outside and watch birds and just be in a quiet a place as possible. I talk to God and get out all my frustrations. Sometimes while I'm sitting out there I'll sing or hum and just close my eyes and let all the stress just fall off of me.
Helps me to get back to pressing stressful issues with a clear and calm head. :)

I have anxiety attacks and I exercise when I have them or when I'm under stress. I can walk up to 10 miles wit out getting tired when I have an attack - it's like I turn into a machine. :P So far exercising is the only thing that prevents me from ripping my hair out.

Use to play World of Warcraft but my main comps motherboard fried and this one not good enough to run the game.
But hopefully my new stress reliever will be taking my new puppy for a walk. :cat:

i discuss this with a close friend or family member to be aware of the reasons why i am feeling stressed. Simply talking it through may help.
Secondly, these situations can be used as cues to relax. i use simple relaxation techniques (Deep breathing etc...) when a stressful situation occurs or is anticipated. For example, doing neck stretching exercises when i am in traffic jam rather than getting tense and stressed.

I wish if I can find away to deal with stress because i don't care so much for music and it doesn't help and when I feel stresses I don't feel like going anywhere and nothing help even I can't sleep and when i force myself to sleep I don't feel that I had some rest or I am better no. the only thing i love to do to sit by the sea but it's not there and the only thing that can make me a little better is a smile from my daughters that's it

I don't deal with stress very well. Thanks for all of the ideas on this thread. Right now I'm on the verge of some type of mental breakdown.

I have a variety of things depending on what's stressing me out. I either play my piano, put in a good Taebo exercise video (or 2), go for a long hike through the woods. Sometimes I'll just be a hermit/bum and sit and watch movies in my pjs for a whole day.

I deal with stress in many ways. One way is to pray about it get some releif. Walk around neighborhood and exersie a little. Meditation in silence is great way to relieve stress to me . Oh and the occassional chocolate bar can even help. Believe it or not cleaning helps remove stress.

When I'm stressed I put everything down, go into the kitchen, take out all the things I crave, carry them into my room, sit my butt down, take a deep breath, and turn on the TV. Eat, prey, and love. :D

When I am stressed, I try to take a deep breath. If that doesn't work, then I will listen to music. But if that doesn't work, then I will lay down, calm down, and finish it off with watching some TV.

Actually I do a couple of things I crochet alot as I always have several projects going, the other thing I do is put on some good upbeat dance music and dance like crazy as usually no one is around and I get exercise and I can relieve all the tension. This works for me. ::)
