its been proven that race dosent exist. we are all humans from earth. "can't we all just get along?" no. because we continuously seperate ourselves from others based on imaginary standards. technically if people from mars came here, they would be our same race - milky way-ians

I don't see color either, I was raised to not care too much about such things. My grandma was born here in CO but her parents were from Mexico so technically we're considered Mexican American or American Mexican for those I offend using Mexican first - yes someone corrected me once. I use the hispanic option on things but now they have it listed as Hispanic - White, Hispanic - Black, Hispanic - Other... um ok I know I'm not white and I'm not black so what is other? hahaha :wave:

Lol! That gets me too. I've seen that on forms and I'm like hmmm. What do I pick? My mom's Puerto Rican and my dad's Cuban. I'm light-skinned so I guess I put Hispanic White. We're all human beings we just come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. I've never really cared about color as I grew up with a diverse crowd. I was always used to seeing all different types of people and socializing with all different types of people. Race never really mattered to me. It's cool to just learn and embrace different cultures and learn how they live.

That's your opinion. It most certainly IS meant to be taken literally among the religious. C'mon now, it is the word of god. Are you saying people shouldn't take the idea of a malevolent, jealous, human-like personal god literally? ;)

in the bible there is a story about man trying to reach the heavens. In retaliation god scattered their tongues. that was the birth of language, religion, race, and all the other things we use to seperate each other by imaginary standards. There is one god. and hes not making his list and checking it twice to see whos accepted jesus christ as their personal savior. did the native americans go to hell? they never heard of a jesus christ. and if they did, that wouldn't be a god i'd be willing to worship.

Whoa...haven't been on the forum long, have you? I'm with you on the bible being a book of lessons. I was joking with queens.
...and btw...I'm not a Christian. It is not really safe to assume that all who are religious are Christian around these parts...

no i just started, and my apologies, that was very shallow of me to assume you were christian. theres just so many these days. its good to be in a forum with some intelligent people in it. all the others are so ignorant and childish

There are some intelligent people here, and you will get lively discussion. Something I've learned in my time here, though, is that Christian doesn't necessarily equate unintelligent. Sherene, Sheryl, and Annella are three of the smartest Christians I know...I just don't always agree with them. ;) Plus, queenofnines, Falconer02, jordandog, and many many others (I can't remember all the handles) are also very intelligent. Get ready to wipe the dust off and have some fierce debates! :thumbsup:

We should be able to get along! Too many people are hung up on race, religious views, sexual orientaton, etc. There is truly no need for all the violence in this country.
