If you have extra money to spare, it is nice and convenient to take your car to a carwash and let someone clean it for you spic and span. It’s not a difficult job. I usually prefer to hand wash my car at home to save $$. :)

apartment living does not lend a hand in washing your
own car, unfortunately. i usually take mine to the car
wash, but i do the self-wash, because i can just round
up my quarters and do just as good of a job as if i
payed more for someone else to do it...
i enjoy the do-it-yourself carwash, especially on
a hot day!

I always hand wash my car. I feel that it gets a better cleaning than if I took it somewhere. It takes me about 3 hours to fully clean my car, inside and out. But when I'm done, I love to sit in the driver's seat and smell the cleanliness that surrounds my nasal passages! When I clean the car, I have to make sure that every visible part of the car is clean. I clean every window with glass cleaner, clean all the controls and dashboard, and vacuum every part of the interior. I think it's mostly my OCD, but it's totally worth it.

I usually handwash my car..i like to wash my car and it saves money

I'm a half n halfer... Time is the biggest issue for me. I'm too busy completing offers to wash my car.
-
I usually don't have a lot of time between my two jobs to hand wash the car.
I have found a good one at a near by gas station that has a guy there
to wash the tires and trunk area as well as soak and foam the windows before you enter.
Car comes out looking good, which work for me.

I typically handwash when I do have the money...otherwise, I let Mother Nature handle it for me. when I did have money, I paid for the full service wash in another part of the state; this one car wash had a phenomenal deal for the whole shebang and it was maybe a dollar more than it cost to do it by hand. if I was still traveling up there, I'd save on purpose just to take advantage of it.

I wash my car myself. It is super easy and not that labor intensive. If it is something I can do, I see no reason to spend money to have it done another way or by somebody else. This is where money can be wasted if you keep buying services and things you do not need or that you can do yourself. Save the dollars/buy something fun!

We're lucky to have a $3 carwash down the road with free vacuum so we go there. It saves on our water bill and it's loads faster then if I try to get out there and do it!
-
Well Last time we washed our car was when my son was born almost 7 months ago and I think my husband hand washed!
-
not much washing cars here with the rains but when it needs raining i take it through a laser carwash.
-
When I was a kid, I would handwash my parents car. Now that I am older and have my own car I take it to a carwash
-
I go to my friends car wash so I dont have to hand wash. Or I wait for it to rain
-
I usually take mine to the car wash, but lately i have had to wash it myself due to lack of money :(

@candyterrius - I'm a clean freak and I like to clean my own car....I have a Toyota Camry 1999 LE edition and it looks like I just purchased it from Toyota...even though it has 278,830 miles on it...I drive EVERYWHERE! The minute I get home, before I eat dinner (unless I go out) I clean my car for about 30 mintes - hour.

i go to the car wash and it dont cost much like 3 bucks.. i dont wash that often ,hardly ever go down dirt roads.
-
i am disabled and its an all day job for me so i go to the car wash.
-

-

-
I prefer to wash my car by hand, but i live out in the country so we have hard water that leaves spots really bad. so normally i just take mine to the car wash
-
I actually just end up hand washing my car. Its really the same amount of work either way. Plus Ill be able to get the dirt off, where a carwash might miss it.
Not to mention its cheaper.
:)

myself and my husband wash the car personally in my appartment itself....
we love taking care of the cars......
-
Those touchless car wash places are generally really good and cheap.
-
I take mine to the car wash but handwash it!!!
-
wash car at home by hand helps cool you off in summer time.
-
Usually I wash it myself unless I don't have time and I have some extra cash.
-
I do both it depends, but I really feel better if I handwash it
-
HW if I have time, CW if I don't or let the rain take care of it.
-
I have the money, I suppose, but even though I don't like washing my car I'd rather not spend the money to have someone do what I could do myself.
-
Handwash!
-
Most of the time I hand wash it but sometimes I take it to the car wash.

I hand wash my car now but if I had the money I would take it to a car wash. When I was younger I loved washing my car. It felt good to know I made it look that nice. I guess I do still enjoy it some. I have a friend that will wash his car when it rains. He puts his raincoat and boots on and get the soap bucket and washes away. Never would have thought of that.
-
i wash it in the summer, and it just doesnt get washed during the winter. lol.
-
Handwash, it is cheaper.
