I went to Kohl's for an interview with the first manager her name was Beth then she told me no because they were going to hire to more people that left and were going to come back. I was going to get a job overnight well then I waited like 3 months. They told me again that they were hiring and despertly needed some one for the ad set overnight so I had 3 different interviews and then he said on the last interview that I had with the overnight supervisior he would talk to her and make a disicusion so I never heard back from him and this was a month ago. So I did all that for nothing went to 3 actually 4 interview going back and fourth and they never called me back. How messed up is that waisting time with people that dont want to do anything. But now since I have gotten on to fusioncash I made 7 dollars in one day wow I dont even have that in my account lol

i agree -- you need to call back and check.
making sure you are always professional, sometimes you don't know the whole story on their end.
as a hiring manager I find that many times decisions are made about money, hiring, etc that i have no knowledge of until they say -- YOU CAN NOT hire anyone or something....

I agree perserverence really works. I had been trying to get hired on at a place close to home that fits me. Took me 6 months but come Monday I get to go to my first day. I would call them twice a week did not want to be pushy but wanted to be pushy enough so they knew I was serious about the job.

Keep at them.
There are times when the people that need to be in on these things are on vacation,
and no one tells you that.
Good luck.

In my experience, I have always make sure to put on my cover letter, in better words of course, that if I do not hear back from them by blank date I will reach out to them for a follow up as I know they may be busy. Then if I received an interview, I'd ask when I should hear back from them and depending on their answer you can always say I will be sure to do a follow up on my end as I know you are wanting to fill this position soon, what hours would be best to get in touch with you, etc.

that's like a lot of places... I much rather be told no or the standard human resources response"we're still reviewing applicants" the really love the emails too
Good luck :)
