Why do women take such offense to it? A *bleep* is a female dog, and a dog is a mans best friend. so isn't calling a woman a *bleep* like calling her your female best friend??
-
ha ha ha! No!! I had to laugh, that WAS kinda comical... but you do have a point (in a weird way)..... Its still offensive though.
-
It could also be like you're calling her a hairy beast that humps inanimate objects.

i posted this because "*bleep*" is like "the N-word" to women. I never understood why that of all words is the worst. I'm hoping a woman will be able to explain to me why... by the way, is that you in the picture? i never knew you were so pretty. ;)

Because that is not what it means when they are saying it...the term has a different meaning when being used towards women.
what is the meaning when it is directed towards women?

Yes, thats me. Thank you 502mania!! :D
I take offense to it, because of the meaning behind it when a man calls a woman that. Its not because he's saying, "Hey my female best friend!" its because he's mad or being a jerk and trying to degrade her and make her feel bad etc. Its just a way for him feel like he's the man and she's nothing. But to me, being called a c*nt is waaaay worse than being called a b*tch. If a stranger called me a b*tch, It wouldnt bother me quite as much as the c word. but if someone I love and care about and there supposed to love and care about me, and they called me either one, its gonna *bleep* me off/hurt me etc....

That kinda explains it. I can understand that. Admittedly, i've used the word before out of frustration when my GF really pisses me off (very, very rarely does she make me that mad), but she's still always gonna be my female best friend. ;)

LOL at that one, Fuzzy.
you have a point

And no woman wants to be called a hairy beast that humps inanimate objects! ;D Or a dog for that matter.

The reason so many women take offense to it is because it is the term for a female dog, but dogs are not equal to men in rights and ability. Women have been struggling for equal rights, and b*tch is another way of putting them down and taking away that equality...especially since the majority of derogatory names toward men place the blame elsewhere, most of the time on women (sob; a*s; M-effer; b*stard; etc.). :female:

I pretty much agree with all the girls here and what they are saying. But 502, have you ever called a girl that? And if so, were you saying it in a "you're my best friend" kind of way? lol I would be very surprised if you have! ;)

*bleep* is offensive, given the situation, but I wouldn't say it's comparable to the N word. I'd reserve that comparison for the C-word!

I'm not telling anyone to go call someone a *bleep*, but if you call me one, I'll be happy to point that out to you!

EXCATLY!! I don't care to be called a *bleep* hell I was called an ice princess once and said thank you to the woman,, later to find out it was a nicer term for the word *bleep*. HAHA I loved how I thought it was a complimant though and told her thank you. Wonder what she thought after that.... But I cannot stand the C U N T word. I think it is very offensive. I have never been called one or not that I know of. But that word would get you a slap upside your head!!

dosen't *bleep* just mean vagina?

If you call a guy a *bleep*, it's an insult, even though it is another word for *bleep*. Same thing with *bleep*. It's not the word, it's the meaning behind it.
That's the insult, the attitude and meaning.....not the word.
