Not sure how I feel just yet about it, either. Interestingly enough, France is the first country to do this.

idk..... well, i guess it is a sign of male dominance over women. I still don't know if it should be banned, i mean, if women want to show and represent that.... they should still have the right to.. but there is always a time and a place.

:cat: The inside reason is that Islam has become France's 2nd most popular religion, and they are trying to become the only one. Because of that there are an amazingly lot of muslims living there and their ways are taking over France's traditions and values their country was built on. However, with the way their constitution is written, this law could not use the terms "veil, burqas, etc." because then it would cause trouble and discrimination toward one group (Islam/muslim), so they had to be very careful with their wording with this law.
