We do a funny one and a scary one. We put it in a contest here in our local community. 2nd place lastyear.

Sort of depends on the audeience around here.  If we are carveing for the teenagers we make it skeery and if it's for the little ones we make it funny.  All boils down to just haveing as much fun with the activity as we can.  Now the real question is who makes pies with the insides.  :)

Both, my kids love carving out from the pumpkin design books we have. They get great complements each year on their carving skills!
