Title: What is your Christmas Gift Frustration?
Post by: superteacher on November 06, 2010, 09:39:41 am
Christmas is supposed to be "the most wonderful time of the year," but we all know that malls and shopping centers can be frightening places to be when the Holidays are in town for a visit. How will you deal with the frustrating situation?

I have to say that my Christmas Frustration is that family members want me to tell them what to by my children for Christmas.  It comes accross (to me) that they do not care enough to make an effort.  If you do not want to make an effort and think about it, then dont buy them anything.....Is that too harsh?  I just do not feel right telling people what to buy.

I don't think it is really about the effort so much when it comes to kids. I think it is more of a not duplicating gifts or trying to complement what you yourself are getting. At least that is how it is with my family any way.

Yup.  After 3 months I finally got an interview.  Hopefully I get the job so I can stop worrying about where I'm going to get the money to buy presents.

Just want my family to be grateful after all that we have been through this year and everyone is ok.  I don't want my young adult sons to worry about money and gifts or expect a lot from me or others.  It should be all about being together and hopefully a dinner and hugs!

I buy some of my gifts throughout the year and store them in my Gift Closet. However, there's always something/someone I've forgotten, requiring me to brave the mall during the week before Christmas!
