Title: What if all my referrals are inactive?
Post by: FallenKing91 on November 12, 2010, 11:25:22 am
I noticed that the rules don't have any consequences if you refer tons of inactive referrals. I've seen a site where you get 50 cents per signup only if you can manage 1 out of 10 of your referrals to be active (which I hope FusionCash will never have to resort to).

So what if I refer 100 people who confirm their e-mail, but only 2 are active? Don't get me wrong, I'm going to try to get as many active as possible, but what if it just happens that most are inactive? Would I still get the full $100? Would I get banned or receive a warning about how I need to get more actives? I sure hope this isn't the case, because I really like how I can get $1 per e-mail confirmation despite how I usually tend to refer inactives.

I have quite a few inactive referrals  and have for quite a while some I would say from a year go when I started FC.  I have never had any penalty's for inactive referrals with FC.  As long as you follow the rules for getting referrals as explained in the TOS for example only one account per household and they must join with their own computer and internet not a public or shared computer like at a library or school, or wifi hotspots.  You should be fine getting your referral bonuses as long as they confirm their email.  Unfortunately the majority of my inactives  haven't even done that, sometimes that email goes to spam folder so it gets lost.  Also when I get lots of inactive referrals from a particular source of advertising, I try to switch it up how I advertise my link by using another method.

I'm not sure how anyone would know if they are active or not. I have over 750 and usually 5 to 10 cashout each month (once it was 13), but some take several months to cashout and are not inactive, just slower. I think the best policy is not to worry about it and just keep getting all you can.

Wow that is a ton, good for you!  I think they know they're inactive because they signed up but then didn't confirm their email or didn't do their first offer etc.  I only have 6 referrals so I am able to monitor like that.  It's just crazy to me that they haven't continued w/the site.  I found this on google or something so I have no idea who my referral person is (just their screen name), bet they are happy to get my $5/month for cashing out!

That is an excellent way to look at it! I had two of my referrals cash out last month, one that had joined quite a while back, so that made me hopeful that others may eventually cash out also! You always give such great advice OldBuddy!

Hey Old Buddy,

I'm new to Fusion Cash, if less than one month is considered new. I've made $32.67 so far since 11/09. Now, I'm giving serious contemplation to Referrals, cuz frankly, I'm jealous of you, hehe. WOW over two grand so far. WTGU!

Okay, here's what I wanna know from you, being you've been around awhile here. Are there any concerns I should have, in printing up a little piece of paper, and handing it to each one of my apartment complex neighbors with my Referral Addy on it?

I ask, because you say you have 750 Referrals, so you're used to quantity, and that's what I'm going to be shooting for myself. And lastly, is there a Referral Bonus limit in terms of how many I can have, or in how much revenue I can generate from them each month - and is it okay for my Referral Bonuses to exceed my Offer Earnings?

Thanks Buddy (or to whom every would like to take a stab at these questions.
Mike

There is no hard and fast rule about inactive referrals.  Basically, if you are only referring inactives, it suggests that you are not advertising to people in a way that reaches truly interested / engaged users.  If your inactive proportion is very high, we might contact you and ask you to stop referring or use different advertising strategies.

Well you got the answer right from the source, but let me add a thought. If you are going to print up little pieces of paper, why not get some free business cards instead? Then you should invest a couple of bucks in your own domain name so you can redirect it to your referral link. That cuts down on lost referrals because they typed it in wrong. Of course the next jump would be to set up a blog and add some videos.

See, I knew I was gonna like ya, Old Buddy. Thanks for the brilliant ideas. I'm heading over to, oh wait, I can say the company here, hehe, and get me some of those free business cards. Grand Idea!  I'll wait to make some moola from referrals before investing in a domain name. I have one all figured out already, just wanna make money enough before spending it, hehe. Also a great idea, though. A blog and videos. Yeah, that's the next jump alright. Thank you so much!

one thing you will not be able to do is make your referrals be active. they will if they want to and won't if they don't. That is just the way it is.
