I love my playstation 3 never tried Xbox thinking about buying one for christmas.

I like Xbox 360 better, especially now that Kinect came out. The PS3's "active" games still require an odd-shaped controller that you have to hold while playing. What a pain!

Pretty sure this isn't the right forum for this topic...
I prefer the Playstation but if you like the HD style of games then go ahead and get a 360 as a complementary system. Microsoft's got a good variety of first-party and/or exclusive games if you're a heavy gamer.

Kinect seems better but the PS3 appears to have extra controls that I can't do without.

I LOVE my Xbox 360. I just wish it could play Blue-Rays :'(

I have a Playstation 3 and I love it. But I want to get a 360 because there are games that are only made for that console.

I like Xbox 360 i have had mines for over 3 years its pretty fun i like useing my gamer points to brag to my buddies :D

We have 3 PS3's, a Wii, and an Xbox 360. (I also have 3 teenagers!)
I can tell you that all 3 of the PS3's get more use than the other 2.
My teen daughter only uses the Wii if friends come over and they want to do the DDR or other games like that.
The xBox 360 is only used for games such as Halo that only come out for the xBox system.
The PS3's get used all the time. Surf the web, watch netflix, watch bluray discs and play games. Not only that the xBox charges a monthly fee for access where the PS3 is virtually free to just play online with others. And it has built in wireless capabilities so you don't have to buy adapters and all the other gadgets to play online.

Playstation for my opinion because there are much more better games for the system. I still own my original PS1 and it's still working after the past 10 years and it's a total lifesaver! ^_^ :wave: :notworthy: :angel11:

which is better playstation or xbox hard to say i am more of the playstation have had that longer but it really comes down do what kinds of games you likt to play i like most games some are better on the xbox while others are bett on the playstation so which is better the one i happen to be playoing on at that time

We have a xbox 360 and a Wii.....my kids have played the neighbors PS3 and they said they would much rather have the Xbox 360! They have much better games!

Xbox 360 no contest the wii sucks compared to the ps3 or xbox360 and the xbox 360 is better than the ps3.Has more exclusive games and it has halo and more ppl play xbox.

I do not have a PS3; I bought an Xbox 360 when they came out, because PS3 was more expensive (and there are versions of most games for both systems). Now, there just aren't enough "PS3 only" games out that I would like, to justify buying a PS3.
I had a original PS, and I far preferred my PS2 to my Xbox, but nowadays it doesn't really matter to me anymore; I play PC games more often than console now. Still have my PS2 though, and all the games (and many of the old PS rpgs). :thumbsup:

360 is more intense gaming, it enhances your gaming experience and improves
your skills as well. Ps3 is mostly fun (JUST MY OPINION)

I heard that the top three game systems are xbx, ps3, and wi. Xbx is the #1 seller because of their new Kinetic motion control system.

i've never even seen anybody who has owned a ps3. so i think the 360 is better even though the ps3 technically has better specs. if we're talking the original xbox then i'd go with that for the sole reason that it's very easy to hack and mod. i can play ps1 games ON my original xbox, so how can anyone beat that.

Playstation is much better in my opinion. I do have a little bit of a bias because I haven't played an Xbox 360 yes, but I am very thrilled with by ps3. When I was debating which one to buy, I took several factors into consideration. First, was graphics. To my knowledge they were both the same. I did not find the ps3 or Xbox 360 to have the upper hand. Second was the game availability. Both have a big library of games. Online play was third. The ps3 is free to play online and has all you need for a great user experience: friends lists, message capability, etc. The Xbox has this also but it costs $79/year to keep your membership up. Fourth was entertainment function. The ps3 has a built in blue ray player. The Xbox doesn't. I think both have the ability to download music into and internet browsing availability. I added up all the factors and ps3 came out on top. I have been happy with my ps3 ever since.

Playstation all the way, Xbox doesn't have genres that withstood the test of time unlike playstation and nintendo.

xbox 360 has better games but ps3 lets you play online for free. The rest would be up to you to decide which system you want. I'd say get a 360 cause it has a lot of good titles and will keep you entertained for hours.

if u buy a 360 make sure u get the extended warranty cuz that piece *bleep* breaks all the time. or better yet instead of buy'n a 360, how about u give me your $300 bucks i'll take u out back, kick u in the nuts and will call it a day. cuz that would the best deal over the 360. oh by the way i have both ps3 and 360 and i love my ps3

The only reason the xbox breaks is cause ppl with no life who play all day get red ring or dumb*** drop it

Actually the red ring can come in at anytime including within hours of just opening the box and playing. My son has had 3 so far. He loves Halo and has to have xBox in order to play that one. So the first two systems were only used for the Halo games and then limited because like I said before...we have all the game systems and the PS3 gets way more use. The first one died within hours of game play. It was returned and replaced. The second one lasted exactly 1 year and 2 days!! Right after warranty expired. This one we have had for 3 months and it is going strong. However, we did purchase a 3 year extended on it so we are good for at least 4 years!!

I prefer the PlayStation 3...If I understand correctly the XBOX does not play Blu-Ray discs? I could be mistaken...I know the PS3 comes standard as a Blu-Ray player and also the online access is FREE but you can choose to pay for better features...With the XBOX you have to pay for the internet to come into your house and then pay again for XBOX Live which doesn't make any sense to me...Why would anyone want to pay for thier internet twice!?
