Title: suggestion: buttons
Post by: mwolfe on December 13, 2010, 01:48:31 pm
i think it would be neat if fc had "like" and "dislike" buttons to use about posts. it would be another way to get people more involved in the forum.

That's a great idea!  Maybe they could give a bonus to the people who get the most "likes" per topic?
:D  I'm always up for a good bonus.

I think there use to be something like that where you could give a thumbs up to a post or rate a thread. Not sure what happened to it.  :dontknow:

I don't know why they would take that away; it seems good.  I mean, we're all adults here, we all have opinions and we should be able to respect each other's opinions so if someone "disliked" a post I don't think the author would freak out.
I mean, for example if I would have written back that I didn't think the like/dislike buttons were a good idea, I doubt you would have jumped down my throat about it.  It's all about respecting each other and each other's opinions while still being honest about what works and what is helpful/not helpful to you.

I believe you can rate a topic using 0-5 stars; look for it at the top of a thread.

I don't see the place to rate it with stars...could you attach a picture or be more specific please?  Thanks.  :)

At the top of the thread, to the right, under the tabs it says rate this and there is a drop down box that you can pick 0-5

My bad - it was enabled for some forums (e.g. Off Topic) but not for this one (Suggestions).  I've turned it on for all subforums now.  You should be able to see it in the top right - where it says: You have not rated this topic. Select a rating:

i bet they are making good cash with the ones they have so they dont care much about getting more for us. Lets face it they are watching out for there own, cant blame them but they should do a bit more for the ones that are spending the time to do the surveys

If you don't get credited, we don't see a single cent.  It's in our best interest to get you guys as many crediting surveys as we can.  Believe it or not, advertisers are not as excited to pay you for your time as you may think.  It takes time and effort to find appropriate offers and surveys... we add as many as we can.  Also realize that your demographics (where you live, gender, age, etc) can play a huge role in the survey experience that you have.  Some demographics are over-represented on FC and other survey sites, which means those particular quotas fill up quickly when a new survey is posted -- end result, it's tougher for some users to get credited for surveys than others.  It's not fair, but it's the way it goes.

@hubbardji......if you are actually qualifying for surveys and getting to a "congratulations" page, then leave that window open for at least 5 minutes or so until it credits. If you don't have the FusionCash toolbar installed, I would do so because you will be able to see when you get credit and then you can close the window. Make sure you are clearing your cache & cookies before every offer, including surveys. You can do this right from the toolbar. Works for me every time.
