Title: weather
Post by: sunkistblonde on December 16, 2010, 01:53:48 am
We've already had more snow this year than we've had in the entire 4yrs I've lived here combined. It's COLD...and tonight, we're having an ice storm :(
Weather patterns in your area unusual or extreme?

I live in Clarksville, TN, and this is the coldest Dec since the 40's.  The kids have already missed 2 days of school due to snow, and they dismissed early yesterday due to forecasted sleet (that we didn't get, thank goodness.)  They only allotted 3 snow days this year, so if they miss more than 1 more, they'll be making up days.

I live in Middle Tennessee and this has been the coldest this early in years.   I work at Wal-Mart as a people greeter and we freeze at the door.   I will be glad when spring gets here.  We had a very hot summer and now we are having a hard winter.

I'm in Northwest Indiana. We had 22ft of snow over the weekend, ice and very cold temps. We get the 'Lake effect' snow. More on the way tomorrow. Is it Spring yet???

Really?  I lived in Clarksville for 25 years!  I do miss it some.  Just moved away in January to a small town just south of Cleveland OH.  My sister hasn't mentioned any snowfall, though my Da did say that they were expecting a storm.

Anyways, the weather here is a blistering cold 13 degrees (feels like 5 though, due to wind chill), and not currently snowing...but we had a big snowfall earlier this week, and have about 4-6 inches on the ground left over.  Luckily, they are a lot better about clearing off roads up here than they are in Clarksville.   ;D

I live in southwestern Minnesota.

We have had two snowstorms/blizzards that have shut down the interstate system and surrounding roads already this year.

I am very glad I live in town......for years I had wanted to live in the country.  I would still be digging out if I had gotten my wish!

I also live in Minnesota, but in the twin cities.  I live in a suburb and they are very good about plowing the streets.  We have lots of snow on the ground and it has been very cold, but warming up to 20º today.  It is supposed to snow all day today, but so far it has only been a dusting.  I am already sick of winter and it isn't even officially winter.
