I do. I think there is something special for us. I don't believe in reincarnation, but I do believe there is life after death. I don't know what your soul will look like but I do believe it. There is a lot of energy left when someone dies, that is why you still feel connected to someone once they are dead. What I do believe it is going to be very special, paradise.
-
No, I believe in death after life. Actually, I don't even have to believe in it; that's what all evidence points to, and ZERO for any kind of afterlife.
Do you remember where you were all of those BILLIONS of years before you were born? No, no you don't, because you didn't exist then, just like you won't exist when you die. You need a functioning brain to be alive, yo.
-
Energy cannot be created or destroyed. You have energy inside your body and when you die it leaves and goes wherever it goes and will live for an eternity. The thing is, energy doesn't have a conscience. This is the Scientific Standpoint.
Look at the bright side! Science knows we will live for eternity, they have that much documented but now we just need a conscience.

No, I don't believe in life after death except a little in the sense marieelissa posted. I think we may have a little different idea of it. When you die, your body decomposes - unless you're cremated! - and ultimately that's how you "carry on," there's no consciousness involved. The decomposition of your body feeds countless bacteria and insects, and fertilizes the soil if you're buried, so that more plants and things can grow. That, or you just rot inside a hermetically sealed coffin. Lol. Depends on how the body is disposed of but I think that's really all there is to it. :) Like what queenofnines said, too.

I do believe there's something after death, besides death and non-existence. Is that eternal life? Is that reincarnation? Who can know? I believe in God, and I trust in God to care for me even in death and after death as God does in life.

I have to. Otherwise, I might be wrong.............

I humbly disagree on your post and have encountered numerous times when I felt or was given multiple signals from those who died before me. I believe in reincarnation and that we come back until we've reached the state of enlightenment and get past the point of our ego dictating our life journey on earth.

YES! I believe that we are created in the image and likeness of God with an immortal soul. We will live forever believe it or not. The question is, how will we spend eternity? In Heaven or Hell. This basically depends on our deeds and actions here on earth. These deeds and actions will be judged by Jesus when we die. If we have done his will we will end up in heaven. If not, we will go to hell. Heaven is a state of being where we are united to the One, True God. This is our destiny: to see God face to face and to be one with Him now and always and to the ages of ages. However, hell is also a state of being. This goes against popular opinion that says hell is a hot place with a horned animal running around with a pitch fork poking at us. No. Hell is a state of being where we are seperated from God; totally cut off from is loving, life giving embrace. This is why demons are so diabolical. There existence is opposed to the very reason they were created: to be with God. This is why they "roam the earth seeking the ruin of souls." As long as we repent for our sins, are true disciples and followers of Jesus, and obey his teachings and commandments, we cannot and will not perish! But we must stay humble and vigilant. How do we know the way to eternal life some may ask? Simple. Jesus, Himself, tells us. "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, buy by me" John 14: 6.
God bless and Merry Christmas to all!

Explain, please. I'd like to hear more.

God tells us there is life after death with Him in heaven if we receive the gift of salvation through His son Jesus as told in John 14:6. Of course, that all depends on whether or not one believes there is a God. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Merry Christmas.

I do not know, there is something with the lord, May it is your soul which we can't see.

I have given this alot of thought and I feel their is some sort of life after death. I believe that you keep comming back untill you get it right and then you go to heaven, Or as i was taught as a child the summerland...We are Wiccian.

I would have to say i do believe at times that people are reincarnated to new babies or animals , causae theres some time i look into my pets eyes and they star right back at me with wisdom and i recongize who ever they are to become when they were born. Just try it when your animal is resting or sleeping get in their space and look in there eyes you will most deffinetly have a moment with as if they understand you or can look straight thru you....
-
I don't believe, I know! I am one of the lucky ones that has had the truth revealed to me and it is awesome.

hmm... good question...
In all honesty, no, I don't believe in "life" after death.
but then again, I am also a firm believer in "anything's possible." So maybe you do. Maybe you move on to other things, reincarnation, or maybe you're born as yourself again, and live your whole life over again, and again and again.... hah... OR maybe you become death and you guide the deceased on to outer space to live with the aliens that created us... :P
Hell, Idk...

I'm not sure what I believe, my mother says that if your lucky enough you may come back and live again (reincarnation) Im not sure about that though. I believe though that there has to be something after death. Where we go im still not sure and like many I too have doubts.

Queenofnines is probably the only atheist I agree with on FC lol. Queenofnines YOU AGREE WITH THE BIBLE :P
Ecclesiastes 9:5 READS
For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.
There's still hope for you, if you can get past suffering ;D

Queenofnines YOU AGREE WITH THE BIBLE
She agrees with a neat and obvious philosophy. Not the bible. It's just one of those http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OT4B-NJUcZE type of things that one would overthink about when they're high.
(and no, QoN. I know you don't do drugs!)

It's okay; I just loled.

I don't know.
You need bad to appreciate the good, but I'm not so sure I want to spend all of eternity with the memories of the bad that have happened. I guess I'm just oversensitive. Don't get me wrong; the good in my life far outweighs the bad, but that bad sometimes can haunt me. Why would I want to spend eternity with that?
Personally, I think Albus Percival Wolfric Brian Dumbledore said it best: "To the educated mind, death is but the next great adventure." I don't want to worry about it until I'm packed and on the road, since I can't exactly plan for it... I just want to live this life that I know I have to the best of my ability; to do the best I can for myself, my husband, my daughter, my family, and humankind in general while I can. :dontknow:
On a different note... ever stop and really think about your name being forgotten after death? How there are so many people concerned with going out as a hero so their names go down in history? Ever think about why they're concerned with that? What should it matter if there is an afterlife?

As of late I have started believing more in reincarnation. I sometimes feel very connected when talking about war and things and almost have very vague flashbacks, yet I have never served in the army or anything. i think it might have been a past life of mine

I too have heard many stories like yours where people feel and or dream about scenes and stuff that has happened as if it were really them. I have family who believes they have also lived before. Its a kinda scary thing.

DENIAL "She said you need a functioning brain to be alive yo"
And that agrees with Ecclesiastes 9:5, the neat philosophy of men is just an excuse to agree with the verse and still not admit you agree.

Considering the idea came way before the bible (srsly, anyone who thinks about it for a bit will cross the path to that idea), the bible agrees with a neat philosophy as do we. Other way around, yo! Putting a little sticky-note on the idea does not make it 'property of the bible'. Our attachment to it does not stem from the same root as your reliance on your book. Much like if you like apples, and a scientology member likes apples, does that mean you agree with scientology? No. It's a separate interest.

Respawn time is 10 seconds. Or primary fire.
When I die, the only thing I want on my tombstone is "Respawn in 9"
