I give a lot of presents in our family and have spent years wrapping gifts. It takes a long time. Then I started using a few gift bags. What a time saver. It cost a bit more at first, but I just have to replace the tissue paper. I get the gift bags back and they even have their name tags on them. I use the same bags year to year.

I usually reserve gift bags for birthdays, etc or a Christmas gift that is odd shaped. I Love the wrapped gifts ..... I think there is something special about unwrapping a gift. :)

 It really depends on what I need to wrap whether I wrap with paper or use a bag. I also consider if the person whom the gift is for are able to handle unwrapping a package or if it would be easier on them to just open a bag. When I give a gift to an elderly person , I use a gift bag. But I really like to box and wrap things up for my boys and use alot of tape so that they have to really make an effort to get in their gift. I know it sounds mean! Atleast; I don't use duct tape like they do to me, Ha!ha! We like to pull jokes on each other like that. :peace:

I love the gift bags I will wrap something if it is bir and does not fit into a gift bag. We have a store here that sells great gift bags really cheap so it is really worth just to use the bags what a time saver for me I get to do more baking

I like to use gift wrapping for the kids because they are excited when trying to get in the present and that's fun to watch but for the bigger ones gift bags are better.

I like using gift bags I like to buy the day after Christmas when everything is mark down, For the next year.
-
My parents allways wrap my presents, but I already know usually what I'm getting.
-
I like gift bags their fast and inexpensive to use, I usually use several layer of tissie to wrap it in also, and buy it all after the season is over. The dollar tree as great price on the things.
-
This year I've just been getting things in the mail and letting the recipient of the gift open the package. No wrapping required for me :-)
-
I do both things use gift bags and wrap presents. when I start to get tierd of wrapping, every other present goes in a gift bag

I wrapped most of my presents and one I used a gift bag. It was so big that I didn't have a box for it. But I got all of it done. Hope everyone has a merry Chrisitmas.
-
both but mainly wrap them gift bags cost a lot if you have alot of presents.
-
I use both but would say we wrap more gifts than use gift bags! Enjoy wrapping gift with the family!!
-
it depends on the gift as to how i wrap it. I prefer to wrap it, but sometimes it is just easier to use a gift bag
-
I like bags better, because there's less mess, and no leftover roll of wrapping paper to waste space.
-
it would depend on what I am wraping but I prefer bags for adults but paper for children because they so love to open them up.
-
For adults I usually just use gift bags. I still wrap presents for kids because I think it's more fun to watch them unwrap.
-
I like to wrap my presents because it's classic christmas decoration.
-
I like bout kinds it deepen on the page and the resin for the give.
-
For me it just depends on the shape of the gift, but I usually try to wrap as much as possible. I think that is part of the fun of Christmas- unwrapping presents. And it is always fun to put smaller boxes inside bigger boxes so that the receiver has no idea what gift to expect! I just love Christmas!
-
I love both gift bags for the odd-shaped presents and the pre-made boxes that require only a bow. Makes it both easy and festive.
-
its easier and faster to use gift bags but gift-wrapping is cheaper although you need to know how to do it well if not it will look ugly :P
-
I use both.
-
99% of the time our presents that we give to others Christmas/Birthday/Weddings are wrapped. I am not super fond of the gift bags because if they fall over, stuff could fall out. Plus boxes are easier to stack, pack and carry.
-
I use both, probably equal amounts
-
I use both depending on who the present is for and what it is. Some presents are just not worth wrapping (due to size or shape) to me. My husband says he hates gift bags, but since I do most of the wrapping, they definitely get used some. I reuse gift bags and buy tissue paper and wrapping paper usually after Christmas when holiday stuff is on clearance.
-
I wrap all of my gifts I don't know why but I don't really perfer bags unless it is something that I can't really wrap. I like seeing everyone unwrap the presents.
-
I prefer wrapping. It's funner to rip apart the paper to get to your present than it is to pull the present out of the bag, haha.
-
I mostly wrap gifts but if there's a gift bag in my closet from someone giving me a present I might use it for a harder to wrap present.
-
I wrap presents, but sometimes get a bunch, and put them in gift bags, so that I can deliver them to families houses.
-
Wrapping is more fun for the recipient to open...So I try to wrap. Unless I'm lazy or in a rush.
-
In the past I always carefully wrapped all my gifts, but a couple of years ago I started gift bagging using colorful paper and cute bags. This is much easier and faster.
-
I like to wrap so they can't peek until the big day :D

I used both depend on what my presents is. Usually I use wrap paper because it's nice and cheaper than gift bag. It's true that you save a lot of time using gift bags but you buy for more than 10 people in a family.. plus friends... I't will cost you more than your pay check. Just me I'm been there :)
-
I really don't like to wrap too well and would prefer to use gift bags. I try to buy them after Christmas at a deep discount and then reuse all that I can get my hands on for the following year. I know it's probably more economical to use the old fashioned wrap though. I haven't done a study....hmmm...I wonder.
-
prefer gift bags. suck at wrapping the present up :D
-
I use gift boxes. Try to save some trees and I can always re-use those boxes.
-
We use both, It is nice to give the personal touch of wrapping, but sometimes the present is just to akward and it is just more convenient to use a cute bag
-
I use to wrape all the time but now I use both wraping and gift bags.
-
It's either one or the other for me depending on the size and/or the item. If it is a large gift then it is obvious that I would wrap the present. If it is several small items, couple of tops or something like that, gift bags and colorful tissue paper works for me.
-
you have to use wrapping paper that makes it easier to make them work for their gift. i love using the wide tape on one gift for each of the grandchildren to make them work for their goodie. it's just so much fun to watch their exasperation until they get into it.
-
Gift bags as much as possible- I'm horrible at wrapping.
-
I like to do both because sticking to one method can become pretty tiresome.
-
i do both plus boxes
-
I use both.
-
usually wrap gifts but i will use gift bags especially when i'm in a hurry or don't feel like wrapping boxes and tapping it all together.
-
wrap gifts. feels better somehow
-
Gift bags, I'm just a lazy *bleep* though
-
I do both it depends on the gift.
-
it depend on the gift and the person I am giving the gift I usually use the gift bags because its easier but some gifts I love to wrap them and I enjoy it
-
I generally wrap but I love to receive gift bags because I will reuse them....Sometimes just for carrying my junk.
-
Bags way easier
-
i wrap presents instead of using gift bags because its a family tradition that i had never thought of changing.
-
gift bags because I'm SOOOO lazy
-
I wrap them all the way! I usually would do a few items per day for about a week or so, therefore I am not hounded on Christmas Eve!!
-
I do both. You gotta mix it up you know? Keep em on their toes and whatnot :angel12:
-
Depends alot on the gift and who it's for. Find myself recycling the bags more and more to save paper though.
-
I use the reusable bags an boxes. Less waist that way lol.
-
The person who invented gift bags is a genius!! I spend years wrapping, wrapping, and wrapping. Now I use gift bags, especially for adults. Kids like to tear open gifts. I love to watch our grandson tearing off the paper.
-
I wrap presents.
-
I do both. The bags make it easier on my family to get the kids stuff back home. And each year I get some back.
-
i wrap my presents but i did use one bag. i wanted to reuse it but it was torn open.
-
Definitely wrap the gifts. It is fun even though mine never look pretty. It is funner to open them too.
-
I wrap my gifts bc its funny to watch them open it see if they ever going to see what it is ha
-
I use both. If the gift is an odd shape or really big, i am more likely to use a gift bag. otherwise i tend to use wrap since it is cheaper and often times prettier, and goes farther.
-
It depends on the size and shape of the gift. I enjoy wrapping presents, but if its an odd shaped gift that's hard to wrap, I will use a gift bag. I think its mostly for the children that I wrap the gifts because I love seeing their faces when they tear open the wrapping paper! :)
-
I use bags since I don't how to wrap gift nicely,.
-
Depending on what the gift is....I wanted to get my husband a new Yankee hat for Christmas and there was no way I was actually wrapping it. So I got some tissue paper and a gift bag and put it all in there. Mostly every other gift got wrapped.
-
I wrap some but really prefer bags if at all possible. Most of the kids in our family are ar an age where they just want money anyway so the majority of mine is money-holder cards & they are really easy.
-
I usually have the store to wrap the gifts up for me. They do very jobs. The gifts look nice and thoughtful.
