I recently watched HP7P1 in theaters and if you read the book, you will be happy with the movie. I personally feel that this is one of the best book-then-movie movies ever created.
I am a huge fan of HP and it's been apart of my life since I was 11 and I am now 21. .What's your opinion on the movie, if you have seen it, or the series in general!
-
I watched the 7th one in the theatre also I really enjoyed it I have all 6 on blu ray and really enjoy anything HP.
-
i think they're ok movies. i haven't read the books, but i'm sure they left a lot of things out. (you can't cover everything in a movie.)
-
If you read the 7th book and then you watched the movie, you would be thrilled. They left out very little details and those details weren't the important ones. That's why I am so happy with the movie.
The 6th one left out a lot of things and I was very disappointed. I found a study on the movie and definitely put my opinion in.
I can't wait till July for the second half, but it sucks they're over.
-
I have tried to get into these movies, really tried, but I just don't get the big fuss about it.
-
I was 11 when I was first read the book. I guess that is why I am kinda attached to it. It's kinda grown on me, kinda like how soap oprahs do. :)
-
I wouldn't call my self a huge fan, but I have seen the first 4 movies and I liked them! I will see the rest of the movies for sure!
-
I just finished re-reading Deathly Hallows... I'm definitely a fan, LOL. I even make references all the time to the HP-Verse.
-
I am a huge fan of harry potter. Sad to say one harry potter left :) :) :)
-
I reread the Deathy Hallows 2 times before the movie and again right after. I am so thrilled with the movie and would love to see it again.
-
To be honest, got the first book and read 7 pages. Thought to myself - I cannot read this stuff. I haven't changed my mind since!
-
It's been like 12 years since the craze started, and he's still in school?
Super super super senior.

Naw...he's a dropout.

I thought the movie was good and followed the book fairly well. However, it is had to put everything from the books into the movies so there is always something missing for those of us who read the books.
-
i think that all the harry potter movies are amazing,
so sad its gonna be ending very soon! :-[

I enjoyed both the books and the movies. I know lots of fans were somewhat disappointed with some of the movies not putting everything in, however I understand for some of those middle big books, there's only so much you can cram into 2.5 hours. I was glad they chose to break the last book into 2 installments because that would mean they would be able to remain closer to the final book.
Glad to hear from people that it's good. Planning to see it in the next day or two. Just finished watching the first 6 again before I went to see it.

I have read all the books and seen all the movies, I love them all, big fan. I thought the movie was great except I should have re-read the book I did not remember any of it.
-
I have liked all of the Harry Potter movies so far. I am glad that I did not read the books.
-
With the exception of the 7th movie, the movies have not covered all the details of the books. But its understandable. I really can't wait to see the final part.
-
The story is ok. The special effects are awesome. I have watched all of them once but I don't really feel the need to re-watch them. I like the later ones because they feels less like a little kids book.
-
I have to see the movie... waiting to watch the movie
-
I just finished watching the 6th movie yesterday (I know, I know, I'm late). It was really good, though. I can't wait to see part 1 of the 7th movie. I think the movies are great. And I've read books 1-4. Unfortunately, I haven't found the time to read anything past that, but I did love the first four books. I'm planning on starting over and reading from beginning to end soon.
-
i am a self proclaimed harry potter addict. i have watched all of them many times, and know all the lines. as well as having memorized large sections from the books. (sad, right?) but i do not think harry should have married ginny. he deserves hermionie. :)
-
I've seen them all (so far) and I'd watch it again tonight lol. That's why I love ABC Family! All those Harry Potter marathons. I haven't read that last few books, but I hope to do so soon, probably after I see the last installment next summer. How some people can compare Potter to Twilight is beyond me...I haven't seen Twilight, but the commercials for them make me cringe.
-
I thin the next movie comes out in July this year. Who all is planning on seeing it?
-
Like you, I started reading them when I was in junior high and I am 21 now. I have read and re-read the book series and watched all of the movies. I went to the midnight premier of number 7 and was glad to see far less was left out. I was expecting it to be longer, and really wished they would have made one following the books exactly for us hardcore fans. I think there is a big enough fan base that they would more than make the money back. However, after the disappointing 5 and 6 movies, I was much happier with this one. I cannot wait for Part 2 of the final movie, but I think it would have been cool if they had it released on Harry's birthday since it is so close to that date anyway. Obviously, I am a huge nerd when it comes to Harry Potter. Me and my husband specifically chose Universal Studios for our honeymoon so that we could go to the new Harry Potter section there. AMAZING!!
-
I started reading them in 5th grade and am 21 now also. lol. :) I have never been as happy with a movie as I was for the 7th one. I really didn't like movie nmber 6.

 I am 50 years old and I love Harry Potter! I used to watch it with my 3 boys when they where younger.I recieved the collection as a Christmas present this year. I haven't seen the latest one yet. I hope to soon. :peace:

I have loved all of these movies. I haven't been able to see the last one yet, but will as soon as I can. My grandson and I don't like to miss them. Some people think they are too Satanic, but I don't see it. I don't think it is any worse than The Wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland, both of which scared me silly when I was a child. I think they are just good fun--no need to read too much into them.
-
I am in my late 50s so have not kept up with any of it. My grandkids live out of state, and I'm not sure how much they know about Harry Potter!
-
:-[ I still haven't seen HP7. I've read only the first book and it was a college requirement. Amazing book but I never read the others. I just decided to watch all the movies instead. Kind of like the Twilight Series, I never read the books but watched the movies. If only they could put every single detail on screen; it would be awesome.

Thanks for the info. I love HP as do my kids. We didn't get to the theatures when it was out so I am looking forward to it coming out in stores.
-
Yea once the last part comes out, I am going to buy the whole set. (even though I have all that's on TV recorded, lol)
-
I have watched a few of the movies and tried to read the books. I must be honest and say that I cannot get into the series. It is a little too farfetched and magical for me. This is probably because I am interested in non-fictions and science oriented literature. However, I do enjoy Clive Cussler novels. Perhaps it is his suspensful writing and twisting plot lines that keep me invigorated.

I LIKE HP TOO AND THE LOST ONE WAS VERY SAD FOR ME THAT THEY LOST SO MANY PEOPLE IN THE MOVIE BUT PART TWO WILL BE REALLY GOOD TO I HOPE TO SEE IT REALLY SOON ... AND HOPE YOU WILL HAVE MORE POST ABOUT IT TO ILL KEEP WRITING BOUT HP TO :o
-
I am currently rereading all the HP and I just finished the second book. I had completely forgot about Flinch being a "squib". I was wondering why he hated Hogwarts so much & now I know. :)
-
When I was younger I liked the books real well. I've never really been into the movies, but their ok. When i got older I just kinda grew out of them. But it is a good series.
-
I personally like the books better than all of the H.P. movies. I think hollywood has a very bad habit of ruining movies that they take from books.
-
THAY DONT WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY THATS Y THEY PUT HALF THE BOOK INTO THE MOVIE CAUSE READER ALREADY :angry7: KNOW WHAT S INT HE BOOK SO WHY PUT MOST OF IT AS A MOVIE THAT WHY PEOPLE HATE HOLLYWOOD SOMETIME THEY ARE JUST PEOPLE WITH MONEY BUT DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT ALL
-
Isn't that the truth.
-
I am not much of a reader so I have never read the Harry Potter series...but I love the movies. My family and I just went and watch Deathly Hallows part 1 last weekend. It was good but it stinks that we will have to wait until the last one comes out to know what happens. I have years 1-6 and waiting for 7 to come out on DVD so I can buy it. I am addicted to HP!!!
-
I really enjoy the Harry Potter movies. (I've read the books also.) We have all of the DVD's so far and on occasion we have a HP marathon weekend. Lord of the Rings is another good.
-
The movies are OK, but the books are so much better. The movies leave stuff out, and change things around. But I lobe to read, so nothing can replace the books!
