I live in Oregon also - except on the coast. It's been 30-40 degrees. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Snow on Friday,then again Saturday night and now they are saying it is going to snow again on Tues to Wednesday. You have to love New England. But we have been lucky we have gotten less than other parts of the state

We came home to Maryland on Sunday and the 30 degrees today felt great compared to Wisconsin. When we got home our blud truck looked white since it was covered in a layer of salt. :P

Either today or tomorrow, our high will be about 40 degrees. I like cold weather but this is a little too cold for me. However, it does give me a chance to wear my winter clothes. :wave:

It is a good thing we don't get snow that often here in Atlanta. The whole place has shut down this week lol! My husband has been working from home all week though so I am enjoying it immensely!

Over here in north east Iowa, it's freaking colder than ever. Been shovelling like a crazy maniac since last coupl days. I need to sell my house and get a condo ;D.

Well Flint MI must be the sister city. The snow just keeps falling. Only about 11 inches, but the drifts are humongous! I had to push hard on the back door to let the dogs out. Started to shovel some of it, but decided to wait until it stopped snowing. Then the fireplace and big chair called my name. Oh well, there is always tomorrow. Stay warm! :wave: Oh yeah, its 9 degrees but feels like waayyy below 0.

yep it sucks I work for mrs bairds and we have not had any trucks make it to lubbock from ftworth since tuesday they all got stuck on i20 at that darn ranger hill not too often can u say ft worth and stuck in winter ...lol

People who were around in the late '70s remember several winters similar to this. I was here then and remember when my car was covered for 9 days. I dont remember there being as much ice then however.

To warm the hearts of those who feel freezing or snowed in, here are some all-time extremes in the lower-48 United States to put things in perspective, courtesy of Jeff Robel at the NCDC:

Coldest temperature recorded: minus 70 degrees Fahrenheit, Rogers Pass, Mont., Jan. 20, 1954.
Greatest snowfall event: 63 inches, Georgetown, Colo., Dec. 4, 1913.
Here are some serious records for all of North America:

Mount Washington, N.H., holds the record for the snowiest place in the United States, based on an average annual snowfall of 260.6 inches.
The coldest temperature: minus 81.4 degrees F (minus 63.0 degrees C), Feb. 3, 1947, Snag, Yukon Territory, Canada.
And the hottest: 134 degrees F (56.7 degrees C), July 10, 1913, Furnace Creek Ranc

Basically the same but our winds aren't quite that bad right now..staying right around 30mph and dropping into the 25mph range every once in a while
