Title: groceries
Post by: tjshorty on February 03, 2011, 06:58:54 am
Do you purchase food from online?  Like Schwans or something simular to that.  I like the home delivery, but they are expensive.

I used to get a couple of things from Schwans, but they quit carrying them, so I quit.  I do see their truck on my street though.

I've heard that Schwan's has good food..but I've never ordered from them. Maybe I'll start though! I've ordered from PeaPod before though, and I really like them! They're a little expensive, but they have a great selection of organic food.

I ordered from Meijer when my car was on the blink.  It was free shipping with a minimum order (forgot the amount).  Good place to order bulk items.

Its a novel idea, but I have never ordered groceries online.  How expensive is it to have food shipped to you?  I would think it is quite a bit.

I don't buy groceries online. I like to go to the store to get them. The food prices are going up these days.

I don't buy groceries online. I like to see what I'm buying face to face. But it's nice to know I have the option if there ever came a time where I would need to.

I have only order from Omaha steaks online, I think they are expensive.  Schwans you can order online, I haven't yet because I usually forget about it until I get the knock on the door.  If I would remember to order online then I would recieve credit and eventually get something for free.

The way I understand it, is you place the order and when the truck is in your area they drop it off so it would be fresh. They have ice packed containers so if they need to leave at the door it will be good.  Omaha Steaks delivers that way also.  Comes UPS.

I used to order a few things from Schwans when I was working a full time job. But they are quite expensive so I can no longer afford it. They were a luxury I miss.

I have never bought groceries online. I tried once when they were offering free delivery and it was just TOO slow on their website for me. I don't mind grocery shopping but I buy more stuff when I can see it right in front of me.

No, that is too expensive for me to do.  I just stop at the grocery store whenever we are low on groceries.

i've never had groceries delivered because the stores i prefer to shop at (stater brothers and winco foods) do not have delivery services. i also like vons/pavillions but there isn't one that will deliver to my area. the only store i know of that will deliver to my area is albertsons but they are way too expensive in the store so i can only imagine what their delivery prices would be

The only food I buy online is something I can't get anywhere around where I live.  I am getting ready to order some instant yeast and maybe some potato flour.  I have ordered lots of tea online ... like peach tea and raspberry tea etc.  :)

I have never bought groceries online. I prefer to buy them at the supermarket, unless there are some rare products I can’t buy at the local market, then I may consider purchasing them online.

I order groceries on-line all the time from Peapod (Stop and Shop) because I work long hours and don't have time to go to the store, also don't have a car.  Delivery fee is 6 something.  It saves my list for me so I just have to click on things.
