How much is the going rate for paying babysitters?
-
i've never useda sitter myself but a friend of mine babysits and she charges 2.50 an hour per kid.
-
I think it would depend on how long you are wanting them watched. I watched my friends kids (2 all day, and 1 I got on the bus to school) for around 8 hours and I got paid $40 a day. Another friend I watched her daughter for between 5-7 hours and charged $20 a day.
If I was going out to dinner and a movie or something I would probably pay between $15 and $20, that's around $5 an hour and I don't think I would go much less than that. Good babysitters can be hard to find and I probably wouldn't be going out all that much anyway. For daycare I think what I charged is fair and would expect to pay someone else the same.

It depends where you live and if the babysitter is certified in CPR.
-
Is being a male babysitter weird??
-
pbly around $20... depends on the kids and the babysitter i suppose haha
-
5-10 an hour, maybe?
-
It depends on your area...check out sittercity.com, they will tell you the average for your area and you can also find a babysitter on there. And all their sitters are pre-screened. Hope that helps!

7.50 an hour per kid, and then charge maybe like 10 for nights,
-
i think $20 per day is reasonable.
maybe $5 per hour.
-
how ever much you value your children's lives, jk.
-
our neighbor's asking pay is 20 dollars. :-(
-
I got paid $10 an hour. But I did also say they could pay me what they thought was fair.
-
What ever you can afford!
-
I usually pay $5 an hour...but that is for two kids.
-
I know some friends that babysit and they get like 5 dollars or something each time or per hour or something. It all depends.
-
if youre just getting a high schooler or something 2.50 a kid an hour is pretty standard. i nanny right now and i get 10/hr for 2 kids.
-
Five dollars an hour if I have to pick-ip/drop-off the babysitter. Eight dollars an hour if they can drive. If it is a holiday like New Years Eve I give the ninety dollars. If it is a big community event and the sitter is in high demand I pay seventy five dollars. Both of my kids are at an age where they have just graduated from being baby sat to being baby sitters and those numbers hold true.

Wow babysitting might be the way to go for some of the people who are looking for extra money from home.

I believe I hear the going rate in this area is $15 to $25 a day, or maybe $75 to $100 a week.
