I went from Qwest DSL to Mediacom Broadband. Will having a different ISP effect anything? I know you can only use one computer, but I hope my net change does not effect anything. I have not done offers in awhile but want to get going again.
Changing your ISP is ok....since the IP address will be the same from now on.
I had found the above on another thread but can't quote it or reply to it, maybe since it's almost 3 years old lol Just wanting to make sure the above still holds true as I unfortunately have to switch later this week

Changing your ISP connection should not cause you any problems as long as it is not a community ISP.
You may not have more than one account per ISP connection. If that should happens all accounts on that ISP would be lost.
You may use the same account on more than one ISP -- as long as your acccount is the only account on those ISPs
I just switched from a dial up ISP (which I still use occasionally) to cable broadband.
I also went wireless -- which might be a problem if someone piggybacks the wireless signal and just happens to be a member of FC also -- then we would both lose our accounts.
But I set up the wireless with securiy entry codes, so that should not be a problem.
It might become a problem if I have guests to want to use the wireless system with their own computer.
Then I have to make sure that they are not members of any of the sites I use that have a requirement of one member per ISP.
