Title: kids walking in on you
Post by: Valerie1979 on February 26, 2011, 04:17:50 pm
my husband and i were talking this morning about how kids tend to walk in on you -- either during "that" or during a conversation you don't want them to hear -- do they have a keen sense for the inconvenient times?  :)

they do, my kids especially listen to conversations i don't want them to hear.  It's strange when they don't seem to hear me when I am talking to them though.

Do not let them. Whatever happens between your husband and you is private.

I think that is part of being a kid, It gives parents a change to know their kids real do not have hearing problems  I found when my kids were little if i left the bags ut in plain site they never got in them, as sure as i put them up would catch them looking for them them.

We do not have any kids, but I know the cat always used to walk in on us!  It is disconcerting when he jumps on the bed then....  LOL   A friend of mine had a large dog that used to watch them!  LOL  Drove him nuts!

Yeah, kids have that selective hearing don't they? Especially boys.

This reminds me of a joke I heard years ago!! LOL
Little Johnny walked in on his parents and the sheets are going up and down and he said Dad! What are you and Mom doing? Dad said, playing euchre.
Little Johnny walked in on his grandparents and the sheets are going up and down and he said Grandpa! What are you and Grandma doing? Grandpa said, playing euchre.
Dad and Mom went into Little Johnny's room and the sheets are going up and down and Dad said Johnny!! What are you doing? Johnny said playing euchre. Dad said with who? Johnny said who needs a partner when you have a good hand!

HAHA! i know all about that, we have a cat too.
when she feels left out or we leave her alone in
the dark, she has this very long meow that sounds
like she's saying, "herrrow?" ...

we can't help but crack up if we suddenly hear a
confused "herrrrow?" in the room  :-[  lol.
