NCR (Neurocranial Restructuring) is the best alternative non drug treatment for headaches.

Look up NCR, Dr Dean Howell on Google.  NCR also gives a non-surgical facelift too.

All my life I've gotten migraines. After 25 years of
suffering I finally found something that will take them
away. I give myself injections called "imitrix". It also
comes in a nasal spray or pills.

When I was in Poland, a young man 20 years younger than me, showed me the acupressure point for headaches...between the thumb and first finger, in the web, where your skin stretches. Your headache will go away in 15 minutes after  someone presses in that point with a pinch. You feel the connecting pain in your head with the pinch while the person is pressing there.

I have heard of that before.  Sometimes it worked for me, and sometimes not.  I have occipital headaches.  Means I have a tilted occiput. Which is why I have to get NCR done by Dr. Dean Howell's daughter.

I usually get headaches when the weather changes.  I guess they are sinus related because it hurts all the way into my eyes.

I've had migraines for years but recently they've gotten worse. Had one last night so bad I cried. Took about 10 hours to go away.

I suffer from migraines with aura. I have had to learn what triggers them and how to manage them on my own. All the medications I have tried do not help and even make my recovery time longer. The best I can do is drink plenty of water, avoid aged cheeses, red wine and limit my caffeine intake.

I used to get migraines when I was in high school. Then I donated blood and they seemed to have gotten a lot better and they're very rare now. I don't know if it's possible to have too much blood in your system and it's putting pressure on your brain or what but that's what I've always thought. Or maybe it's cuz I was really stressing out and there's really nothing left to stress out about in my life at this point.

The only thing that has totally worked for me is a new pill called Relpax  I have had no side effects at all and usually one will take them away.  May doctor also put me on a B-complex vitamin to go with it.  I have found that finding things that make me laugh more helps also to relieve the tention and stress of the days.

I have had migraine headaches for years now, my doctor told me that many things re able to trigger headaches from stress to allergic reactions, Imitrex did not work for me, Relpax did somewhat but also put me to sleep, there are many options for getting rid of headaches of any type but the best thing is to speak with your doctor about them!

I get occasional muscle tension or migraine headaches.  Once in a while I'll get a dehydration headache.  I found out years ago I have a straight neck (no natural curve) - actually when I first was treated it was curved, only forward, not back.  That was the main culprit of my headaches as it put a lot of pressure on the spine at the base of my neck.

I started going to a chiropractor and my neck alignment has improved and the daily headaches have gone away.

I'm a very active person, so I do pop my alignment out, so I go back for maintenance adjustments - when I get headaches now, I can usually tell if it's due to me popping something out or if it's just stress/tension.  But I've learned to manage with minimal medication.  I usually only take an Advil now only when I absolutely can't handle the pain on a bad flare up.  Otherwise I try relaxation techniques and cold compresses to try to kill the headache without medicine.

I suffered from really bad migraines that lasted all day at times since I was 13.  Last year found out they were siezure realted migraines after blacking out one morning in the shower.  I was out cold for about 15 - 20 minutes and after countless attempts to get them under control I was prescribed Nortriptyline along with Verapimil and they have improved.  Now I just get headaches here and there but nothing compared to 15 years of suffering.

Alot of times frequent head aches are caused by stress or a sickness but if these aren't a factor you should think about a sinus Xray!

Yes; migraines are able to be caused from stress, in fact stress is even able o make a person feel as if they are having a heart attack, I went through this a few years ago and ended up taking an ambulance ride to the ER only to find out after all tests and a night in the hospital that it was caused by "stress"

I get about a headache a day - everything is a trigger for me. But I've found drinking a LOT of water - like more than the standard 8 glasses, helps keep them at bay or at least not as painful. Drink a glass of water before bed to avoid having them when you wake up.

sometimes when u get headaches it is because u are allergic to what u are eating or drinking. i noticed the other day i was drinking almond vanilla milk and i got an instant headache and it wasnt cold at all. so i took some claritan(spelling) and it helped the headache go away.

:BangHead:I seem to get headaches every single day, these could be caused from stress or even certain foods that an individual eats or even drinks, this is what my doctor has explained to me, the advice I was given from my doctor was to keep a diary, if it's none of these it could possibly be a health problem (not meaning to scare you) the best advice I am able to give is start the diary then speak to your doctor about these headaches.

I have heard that many headaches, including migraines, can be caused by allergies. It might be good to get tested to see if there is something you are allergic to that you are exposed to often.

I get frequent headaches and if I can't get rid of the headache than it turns into a mirgrain.  Which are bad.  The doctors gives me something for my migrains but I don't know what it is called becasue I though the box away.  If you get headach after headach it could be cluster headaches and Imetrex is good for that as well as mirgrains.

Try a good chiropractor. Sometimes headaches can be fixed by readjusting the back in the neck. Good chiropractors do exist!

I love going to the Chiropractor and they do help with my headaches, however, the bad part is you have to keep going back to keep them away for good.  That can become quite costly.    :'(

I was getting headaches with pains in my shoulders and upper back and chest. It was stress. I drink plenty of water now and use a heating pad on my neck at times. Good exercise will help, as will a good hot shower right on the tight muscles. I have sinus headaches at times different times of the year. Usually Spring and Fall. I have one now and know it's the allergens in the air. Aleve helps mine.
