Do you think the individual states should be able to pass and enforce imigration laws? I grew up in El Paso in the 70's and to tell you the truth imigration laws were a joke. Now with all the drug gangs along the border it's not a joke anymore.

Force them, we should not have to pay for everyone. I pay taxes. Don't get me wrong, I love all people who are paying the same taxes, not people getting a free ride.

Our federal government should have the lead with inividual states making their own adjustments.

I think letting states set there own standards could get messy. Perhaps if national laws served as a base and state laws could be anything over and above that. Yeah, I actually think that'd be a great idea!

No, I think we need reform at a national level. States don't have the authority to tell someone they are or not or cannot be a citizen of the country - that's something for the national level. Unfortunately, no politician seems willing to initiate a discussion on this.

does it really matter there are laws on the books and they dont enforce them as it is... I too am a tax payer and am sick of all the free loaders NOT just the illegals the FAKE illnesses and I cant work cause i hurt my pinky 20 years ago kind of things....
