I donate clothes to the local CHKD and give food and money to the SPSA several times a year, but am considering donating through Fusion Cash as an alternative. The reason being is that my paltry amounts will be matched by Fusion Cash so more money will be given to my chosen organizations than what I can do by myself. I think it is really great of Fusion Cash to match whatever amount you donate out of your earnings and then write a check to said organization/charity with your name on it.

Well I am still too new and I have a goal to reach for the first months. But I would like to donate some around the Christmas holiday. That's why I like the PayPal option on here because charities accept PayPal. I'm just not at the point where I can donate any money right now but hopefully that will change.

I just started doing this, but if the cash is good, I just may donate some of it. It's kind of like Karma, if I help, then good things will come right? :notworthy:

I use every cent I make here to buy things for my pediatric cancer patients. I am not allowed, by hospital policy, to use my own money so I cash the checks and give the money to one of my nurses. They then take my list of 'wants and needs' and buy the things on it. It IS actually (and technically) using my money, but since it is NOT cash from wages, I use that to 'justify' how I do it.
I'm sure there are some I work with who know my 'system', but they would never bust me on it. The families usually have little to zero extra $$ because of the high cost of treatment and it's worth bending the rules to give some small comfort to these beyond amazing little people. They have been to hell and back, never complain, and humble me every single day. I went into medicine to try and give back in my lifetime and even on those days when I think "I just cannot do this for another minute, it is too heartbreaking and I am just too tired of death.", a small hint of a smile or hearing one of my young ones had a decent day, good testing outcome, anything positive it 'reminds' me why I do what I do.
FC is one of the few things [after all my years in medicine (~30)] I have found that is able to distract me, let me learn about other people's lives, and give me an outlet that does NOT require my brain to be in full-on mode. :P That's why I joined....not just for the money. Sorry for the novel here, got carried away, but I think donating if one can is a fantastic idea! I fully realize that many on here need the cash to help with bills, so it works great that way too. ;)

That is really cool. I hope no one bothers to "bust" you on it.
I haven't donated anything, yet, from FC $. I'm trying to make ends meet right now. It seems harder than it used to be by a long shot.

I didn't even realize this was an option. Thanks, I'm gonna have to look into this one!

No, I have not done this at all.
