i can not belive that i have family like this it is so rude to be pollite about it but my mom isnt even in the ground yet and they are fighting over who is gonna get what i miis my mom so much

It is sad that this happens. I really think people don't think about what they are doing at the time. Sorry about your MOM.

I believe that is what you call greed. I know when my grandpa died there where issues about some stuff in a back volt, my mother did't care but when grandpa was in the hospital and died the first place her sister and brother went was the bank to that lock box this was over 20 years ago and my mother still doesn't know what was in there that was so important that they could not go to the hospital first. This to me is greed.

Death can bring out the worst in families. We are a closed family but when both of my parents died our family split, and they fought over everything. I just can't see why anyone does that, Fighting over little things. My Dad knew exactly who would be causing the trouble, he told me and my sister.

I think it is horrible but it may just be that they want to hold onto what they have left from their loved one or it could be that persons emotions are hard to control with this loss not excusing it but sometimes i think it may not be the person is just horrible i dont know

there is always someone in the family that wants to feel in charge...my little sister was like that so i just removed myself from it.....you can't take it with you when you die...but i'll always have the memory of my dad :heart:

I'm sorry for your loss. Sometimes the children want keepsakes from their deceased parent, but a great deal of the time it is because they are greedy. I've seen it happen so many times in my lifetime. How sad that they have little respect for the dead or the people left behind.

I would say that it is mostly greed! Its best to have a living will to allow peace in the end. especially when there are kids and siblings left.

First, i'm very sorry for the loss of your mother.
Second, I work in a law firm and I see this ALL THE TIME. It all boils down to greed. Very sad actually.

It is mostly greed. That is why it is a good idea to have a will, stating who gets what. If the older person can handle it, it is a good idea to get the family together and have everybody decide who gets what, before the death. It would certainly simplify matters.

Because they are greedy and wants to get it all, that's left for themselves.

I am so sorry to hear that your family is doing this to you. My great grandfather is dieing from cancer and the doctors do not know how much longer he has left to live. My family is going as far as stealing what they think it theirs or what they want before he passes away. You rfamily is not the only ones that do this. I am extremely sorry for your loss and I hope it gets a lot easy for you.

I am so sorry hun you have to go through this..I completely understand when my grandparents died I was shocked how everyone argued over stuff it was so sad..Then my dad passed recently and its been the same thing fighting over pictures and everything..and I am just trying to deal with him being gone..sometimes someones death brings out the worst in people..Sorry again about your mom hun ((HUGS)) :heart:

I don't know. It's so sad when that happens, though. My Dad and his sister haven't even lost their Mother yet, but his sister is already doing shady things to try to get most of the money. It's really sickening when someone's whole world revolves around money.

I have one parent left and that is my mom. She is in her 50's and I hope she will be with me for many more years to come. I hope me and my 3 older brothers won't fight over who gets what after my mom pass away. I guess, we will just wait and see.

Every family has their own problems. I’m so sorry you have to go through that. You get to see your family’s true color and character. It’s greed. Money is the root of all evil. Life is more important, not wealth.

im sorry to hear about your mon I agre with most of the other posts people sometimes lose sight of peoples feelings and money controls theri actions. They are only thinking of themselves and how they can profit from the situation . Hang in there! I hope things get better real soon.
