:star:     :thumbsup:Last year, a neighborhood elderly, gave out rolls of pennies to the trick-or-treaters. I thought that was nice of her :angel12:. Turns out she had figured it was better to give money than cavities ;D. She spent almost $500.00 on them .

Yeah, a long time ago I got a dollar coin. I still have it! That was one of the better Halloweens for me... :D

WOW....I need to go trick-or-treating where you guys go. I hate giving my kids candy, so I would rather has them get money, even just 5 or 10 cents than candy. The dentist will cost me so much more after they eat all that junk. :)

My dad always gave out quarters, he would get several rolls at the bank and then the closer the time came for trick or treating to be over he would start dropping in several at a time, neighbor kids got wise to this after a couple of years and would always come to our house last. :D

What?! Money? Too bad I didn't grow up in your neighborhood! I've received coupons before, but never money! :(

For the longest time I was giving out 50 cent pieces (Kennedy Half Dollars) to local children. They seem to like since most haven't ever seen one of them!

I remember as a child that some houses always gave money (change). Personally I've never given money, but do search for "candy" that is healthier in nature. The individually wrapped fruit roll-ups are a nice alternative to regular candy.

When I was a kid we had a older couple that lived on the corner. And every halloween Mr. Buck would give out change to the kids instaed of candy lol Great memories!

We used to trick or treat with Unicef boxes, so in addition to candy we would ask for pennies for the Unicef boxes. That was only a couple of years thought.
