I just got done watching "Merantau" on Showtime. It's a subtitled foreign film about Yuda, a teenager sent to Jakarta for Merantau (kind of a child to adult learning experience). He gets a lot more than he bargained for when he helps a dancer headed for a bad human trafficking trip and her younger brother against local and foreign bad guys who buy, sell and use women. Yuda saves the day, but the price is heavy. Not a bad little gem of a movie that I just happened to stumble across while channel surfing.

I saw my topic was the only one on the 1st page with no views or responses so I felt bad for it... it looked so lonely. So I figured I'd say that now I'm watching another movie on Showtime: "Politics of Love", a romantic comedy about an unlikely love story between a black republican and an Indian-American democrat. I can't give it a thumbs up or thumbs down at this point because I'm only about a half-hour into it...
