Title: Joe Paterno Resigns

In the wake of the ongoing sex scandal, Joe Paterno resigns today as head coach of Penn State University's football team.  Please share your thoughts regarding Paterno's resignation.

And at the end of the day he ends being fired!! This is going to get messy!

I agree students last night attacking police and camera crews despite pleas from "JoePa" to respect others and University property what a shame but lets not forget there are victims out there of a horrific crime. >:(

We don't really know how much Joe knew back in 2002 and what he was passing on was hearsay so I'm not sure it was up to him to call the police before reporting to the higher-ups.  I feel very sorry for him and without his team I doubt he'll be with us very long.  That being said, it's terrible what Sandusky did to those boys.  It's just a mess altogether.

Joe didn't get to retire respectably.  He was fire an justly so.  Everyone who knew what was happenening should be prosecuted.  Knowing something like that was happening and doing nothing to stop it is as bad as the one committing the monsterous act.  Penn State may want to get prepared for some megabuck lawsuits!  Penn State's reputation has been irreversably damaged.
