Your choices are great and also sound very Southern!  I like all the traditional stuff...turkey, especially dressing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, mashed and gravy, and rolls! Of course pumpkin pie and whipped cream later ends the day.  Even better than thanksgiving (cause I do all the cooking) is left overs the day after. Turkey and dressing sandwiches with cranberry sauce or the best! Happy Thanksgiving!

Mac and cheese is the main thing for me.  Of course mashed potatoes is something that is a must also, but it something that I took for granted we would be having.  For whatever reason we didn't have mashed potatoes this year.  It just blew my mind.

Sweet potatoes are my favorite.  Candied is the best, but I will eat them anyway anyone makes them.  They are delicious.  I also like stuffing.  My husbands grandmother makes the best stuffing!! Yummy!!

I don't eat meat so green bean casserole and mashed potatos
Usually my brother-in-law and his girlfriend make green bean casserole (they are vegitarians) and it's super yummy. So I was looking forward to that but this year my sister-in-law's friend was the one to cook green bean casserole and it was not as good as my brother-in-law's recepe. I was a little bit bummed :confused1:

My mom always makes sweet potato casserole, when I was younger I didn't like it, but now it's my favorite. :)  In addition to that, wouldn't be right without some stuffing.

I like Yams and Apples. Most people haven't heard of or seen this recipe. I suppose it's practically a family recipe even though my mom got it from a friend at college.
