I always try to take this sort of thing in stride. Without these jobs now you have one less thing tying you down to working all week. Branch out, try some new hobbies and start to enjoy the things in life that work doesn't let you.
-

For Some Reason Any Of Those Jobs That Require You To Take A Written Survey On How You Would Deal In Certain Situations I Always Get Denied,Guess I`m Not A People Person
-
Sorry to hear that! I know what your talking about though. My son and daughter in law both got laid off from jobs in the past month. My son is in Construction and he has been laid off twice in two years, both around the holiday times, this economy is really getting bad.

Sorry to hear that. You have exsperience have you tried at a nursing home or In Home Health care I did that for over 12 years. I liked it but due to back problems and Fibromyalgia I can't do it anymore.

I have always found extra ways to make a little money to help out. Try making coconut cakes and sell them. I have also made jam cakes and sold them too. There are place on internet to make some extra money. Do a search and maybe you can find ways to make extra money.
-
Keep positive and keep looking something will happen for you. Try department stores as it's a good time since employers are always looking to fill in positions where workers don't show up on peak days. :angel12:

Umm, seriously? A torn rotator cuff (not "Rotary Cup") is easily repaired and every single person over the age of 20 has Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) - it is a natural part of the aging process our bodies go through. I am not surprised at all he is being denied disability. There are plenty of jobs he, or anyone else with those 'problems', can do besides construction work. I have had 2 major surgeries to repair my own torn rotator cuff, have many problems with my back which also required surgeries and lots of nice hardware, but I still manage to show up for work at the hospital and take care of all my patients while putting in well over 65 hours/week and am 14 years older than your husband. Next excuse, please. :bs:

I lost my job too thanks to my husband for kicking mse to the street
-
WOW! 5 Days Before Christmas and I`m Swamped At Work! Will Not Get Paid Until After Christmas But At Least I Can Pay Some Bills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
That has to be rough. Hopefully something turns up for you.

i was working construction, but that industry took a complete nose dive no matter what field. i was lost when i was first laid off, for most of 2010 my wife supported the family financialy, and i took over doing the house work ,and fixing dinner and all.. i was at the time while i was looking for a job collecting unemployment. in june of 2011 after being denide employment mostly based on what i used to make.. I found employment delivering news papers.. not my 1st choice, but i make 0ver 500 a week .. i do have to work 7 days out of the week, but average maybe 28 hours total.. just sharing my experience.. hang in there and dont give up..

It Wouldnt be so bad if my husband would do something. He Doesnt Do Anything no cleaning no repairs nothing at all and doesnt understand why I`m so dang mad with him! I Buy His Cigs So Everything I Make Goes In His Lungs And He Is So Ungrateful.I Know He Is Hurt In His Neck But He Could Do Something!
-
He Has No Problem Playing Video Games All Night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
It is very scary to hear of all the people losing their jobs. My son-in-law lost his right before Christmas. Good-luck to all in this situation. Stay positive and you will find something. As for now, be glad you have found FC. If you work on FC and introduce your friends, it can be a great way to make some extra cash.
-
I am verey sorry to hear about your loss of employment. This may be an opening of doors for something new. It will give you time to see what is available and who knows, something wonderful may appear. I wish you luck.
-
Sorry to hear, hope things get betetr for you soon.

-
Sorry to hear this. Believe me I know what it's like to lose a job and hard to find decent work. Who knows, maybe something better will come along for the both of us. Everything happens for a reason.
-
The job situation is surely not good now. I say hang in and keep looking. If you have to change your options do so. I had to become a Security Guard to find work. They don't offer medical or 401K but it's a way to bring money for now. Best wishes to everyone
-
Well Right now i have babysitting and eldercare job ,pay stinks but it walking distance from my house and since i dont drive that helps ,had to put envelope ob on hold ca broke down so we wll see where this job takes me ,my husband is disabled cant get any help becaue he wont let dr`s do surgery on his back or neck
-
I wish you the best of luck! Seems like you had a schedule that allowed you a bit of flexibility. I am working two full-time jobs right now although the second one started a week ago and I have to build up my familiarity with the system before I can start seeing the bigger bucks. I am not as worried about losing either job because my industry (financial reform, due dilligence, underwriting) is jamming and there are a few players out there who have contacted me for more work. The problem is that I only have so many hours in the day and I still want to see my family! I have to take the work when I can get it!
-
yes i feel the same way, after months of no working,I have to take it when i can, family time is a real issue im having ,my grandkids are acting out!
-
I'm so sorry for you! Maybe God has better things for you. Just trust Him.
-
i will
