I collect friends. I don't like to accumulate material things but I think of everyone I meet as a potential friend. I'm single and I believe in being socially diversified which means that I spend plenty of time with my beloved friends.

When I was younger I was fanatatic sports card collector. I outgrew that hobby as I aged and as the hobby itself seemed to fade. I doubt it is nearly the overall business it was a decade + ago. Today, I collect pictures of houses as I am looking for one and trying to determine the interior styling I like and perhaps want to get.

I collected music boxes for years, but when someone knows you collect certain items it seems like that's all you get for awhile. I guess I just like to pick up things, not collect, but if I like something I am probably going to buy it.
-
I collect depression glass. But is it still collecting if you re-sell it on eBay? 8)
I mostly get them at estate auctions, love, love, love auctions, haven't been in a while, though. Collecting them has made me an expert, these glassware items used to be premium items given free for buying things during the depression and years afterward. Some people may remember getting freebies from gas stations, in laundry detergent boxes, etc.
My personal favorites are the round butter dishes, they are quite exquisite. Sometimes I keep them, but end up selling them because I might buy them at an auction for a couple of bucks or less and re-sell them for $50 or more.
I also used to collect salt and pepper shakers, but don't know where they all are with moving around a lot. I met a gentleman at an auction who collects toothpick holders. He boasted of having 500+ of these. I would have never thought of collecting those.

Nothing anymore because couldn't settle on any one thing to collect like too many different things and have too much stuff already. Used to collect penguin stuff, angels, rabbits and then just stopped before I built up any more stuff. I am trying right now to declutter and have tendencies to junk up my residence (yea I watch hoarders and it definetly reminds me of myself lol) I have kept my stuff as described above but don't want to add anymore to it. :dontknow:
-
I guess I don't really have a set thing to collect, but I do love craft supplies and pick them up when they're on sale.
\Paints, ribbons, stickers, decorative papers, etc.. You never know when you will need something for a project!
-
I have always seemed to collect things. I collected decorative plates for awhile, than Beanie Babies. Now I am collecting Painted Ponies. I love them. Have several dozen. Running out of room and need to get another curio cabinet .
