I Think video games are pretty cool & So what do you think?
do you know of some video games that are a hit & Or Are Populare?
What kind of afect video games have on a young child ? :)
-
My favorite video game would have to be Grand Theft Auto. That game is so addicting, and the storylines are pretty cool.
I also like Call of Duty, but I'm pretty bad at it.
Video games wouldn't have bad effects on children if they were playing games that pertain to their age. For example, a 7 year old wouldn't be playing Grand Theft Auto.
-
It is hard to say but I think the game that had the biggest impact on me was Everquest in its early days (up to Scars of Velious) before Sony ruined it.
-
I love a lot of video game to to recall my favorite I would have to say Pac-Man.
-
Defender!!!!
But I guess I am showing my age huh? lol
-
Streets of Rage.
-
I dont have a favorite video game
-
Back in the day it was....Centipede...there has never been a more AWSOME game...
-
Pacific Theatre of Operations.
-
Can't name just one! Fallout 1, Portal 2, Earthbound, Mega Man 2, Halflife, TFC...too many good memories.
-
I used to enjoy this really old game I think it was called glaxia. It was on those big arcade machines in stores.
-
lways liked pacman and any type of sports games are fun to play.
-
Of all time, I'd have to say Tetris. A close second is Millipede. Tetris is so addictive, easily you can lose hours hypnotically. ;) ;D :peace:
-
My favorite video game of all time is Mortal Kombat. I had this game for every game system.
-
I love a lot of video game to to recall my favorite I would have to say Pac-Man.
WOW... Pac-Man, that was the first game I ever played!!
-
If we are talking EVER I have to say Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick ! I LOVE that game !
-
Favorite game of all time is ocarina of time. But nothing beats the first super mario brothers on the nes when it first came out.
-
I like computer games...but I think Im telling my age when I say I like the original tetris game. I also enjoyed Frogger & Q-bert as a kid.

GEARS 1 2 3
-
Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past for the Super Nintendo. Man!
-
Ever? That's kind of tough. I want to say either Legend of Zelda or Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. But there's also Tetris and a few others.
-
I just got an Xbox 360 in November and I love Batman Arkham Asylum. I can't beat the stupid Joker at the end though and I decided not to try Arkham City until I beat Asylum. Regretting it now lol. Guitar Hero, Lego games like Harry Potter and the Sims are also favorites.
-
Resident Evil games, Silent Hill and all Sports!
-
The old classic PacMan. Don't play all that video stuff nowadays. I recall Tetris too. Aww...the good ole days, lol
-
My favorite video game of all time would have to be Resident Evil 4. I have probably played it a thousand times and am still not sick of it.
-
Probably any of the Call of Duty games.
-
I think it has to be Crash Bandicoot because I've played it ever since I was little.
-
I liked harvest moon on the wii
-
I don't play video games that much, generally I watch other people play more often.
As a kid, I very fondly remember watching my older brother and sister's boyfriend of the time play Redneck Rampage on the computer for hours.
I like playing sim games mainly. The Sims themselves for example :)
As well as Oblivion and all the Fallout games.
Also music games, like Rock Band, cause everyone can play.
Resident Evil is sometimes fun to watch, and Left for Dead, but I can't play them 'cause I don't like things jumping out at me lol I get scared.
But favorite? Probably something like Jak and Daxter :P 2 or 3. Or maybe Gun (a western game), 'cause it was pretty and I was pretty good at it.
-
Wow, tough to say.... Some games I enjoy because of nostalgic feelings, like I remember popping in quarters into the dorm's Ms. Pac-Man machine. Some games I just enjoyed the play, esp. if it was different each time you played: I loved the Roguelike games like Nethack, Ragnarok, and more recently Elonia. I can still waste several hours with one of those roguelikes, even the ones I've beaten before since each game is different from the last. Probably the modern ones that I enjoy the most are from the Elder Scroll series: Morrowind and Oblivion (I have yet to get Skyrim, but that is on my list for the near future).
-
Going somewhat old school on these 2 but I've always loved Bad Dudes and Godzilla Vs. Mothra. Bad Dudes just cuz of it being like Double Dragon of sorts & Godzilla cuz you go to every planet fighting monsters. Only sad thing is I could never save. :crybaby2: Got all the way to the last planet in Godzilla which I believe was called 'Planet X' and I had to go somewhere so I had to shut it off. Totally not cool. But those 2 and I just thought of another one. Jaws. All 3 for the original NES.
-
Final Fantasy
-
My favourite Video game is madden 12 for xbox 360.
-
My favorite game is Modern Warfare 2 on Play Station 3. It has an intense single-player campaign, deep competitive multiplayer selection, the graphic is incredible and it has a couple of cooperative missions. I could really say that I just love the Call Of Duty games but MW2 is my favorite probably because I haven't had the chance to really play MW3 like I would like.
-
Madden
-
I love dig dug from the past
-
I really liked Ultima Online. I had a lot of fun with that game and haven't really found another that's taken it's spot of my favorite mmo.
-
Even though it's an old game i would have to say that my favorite video game is Pac Man!
-
Once again there are wayyy too many to list!!!! I love so many video games and I have all the systems and I could never choose just one!!! :)
-
Hhhmmm, I don't play video games or own a game console.
-
From sega I love Nhl 94/95 and streets of rage
-
My favorite video games have always been the "old school" games like arcade games, Atari Frogger, NES Super Mario Bros., things like that. I am also still a fan of the Nintendo 64, some games of the PS1 & Nintendo Gamecube. There's some fun games on the Nintendo Wii & PS2 as well, but my loyalties lie with the older stuff. I'm classically trained. ;)
-
Civilization
-
Super Mario Bros
-
mortal kombat love that game
-

-
If we are talking EVER I have to say Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick ! I LOVE that game !
lol that game was really good ;D

When I was a kid and had an atri I liked pac man and frogger and donkey kong. But I don't play video games on a game system anymore because I don't like the handheld controlers but with a atri it was a joy stick and I could manuver it these new controlers to me are confusing and have to many gadgets on them. But I do enjoy computer games and I play them alot. All time favorit is all the Jewel Quests, than I also like all the luxor, bejeweled, zuma and games like these. When my son was a child in elementry school I got him a comuter game that was fun and he would also learn math and stuff like that in order to move to different levels I still have that game and it is at a fourth grade level and I teach my husband how to read and do math with it because he can't read or write but these types of games have helped him even if he doesn't know it. I am sneaky hehe ;)
-
All of the Sonic the Hedgehog games are my favorite! Always fun to play them on my iPad. Reminds me of my childhood.
-
So a while back I posted Streets of Rage... Still takes the cake. But I was recalling the one time in life I owned a Mac as a child and I played Oregon Trail and the CLASSIC Darwin's Dilemma. I was actually so fond of that silly little evolution game that I was recently searching it on line. I found zero means as to how to play the game. I would LOVE to be able to come across a modern day version designed for PC. Such a challenging game. Never beat it and I believe a few years ago I finally trashed that old Mac. Kept it for a shade under 20 years just to throw it away right before I recall one of the greatest games ever.
If you can't tell, I'm into extreme nerding when it comes to puzzle and strategy games. This is a 28 year old that knits and plays sudoku for fun lol So my taste in games I'm sure is pretty lame compared to most. Loved Frogger for Atari. Once they modern'd it up, I found it to take away the class in classic. Don't get me wrong, great for this generation that has been spoiled with awesome graphics, but I appreciate Atari, Sega, and Nintendo. And of course Fall of the Foot Clan - TMNT for Game Boy. =P
-
Mario!! ;D
-
Not to show my age but I really enjoyed Donkey Kong and Frogger. Now I am hooked on Mario Kart. I usually try not to play everyday, because if I did, I would not get anything done. I start playing and don't know when to stop. LOL :D
-
After some thought I would definately have to say TAPPER great game :star:
-
Growing up in the 80's I liked Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, and Frogger. I miss those arcades at the mall sometimes, though playing video games at home is a lot cheaper.

Classics! I bust out my Nintendo to this day to play Donkey Kong. I give you props. I can't stand Mario Kart. Maybe it's because I can't handle my 8 year old owning me in every single game. I'll admit it, I'm a sore loser when my child is the one beating me hahaha I'm only 28, I should be able to win the occasional game. My dad beating me was the last straw. Haven't touched it since. lol
-
Back in the day when video games where huge machines, I loved Pacman. Now I rarely play a video game even though we have a PS3 and a Wii. I do like to work out on the Wii with Wii Fit.
-
I realy like pac man because its a classic but sometimes it gets frustrateing :BangHead:
-
I've had a lot of games I've liked in the past but my absolute favorite will always be Chrono Trigger. I love the older RPGs and that one had so many aspects to it that made me play it over and over. Since it came out for the Nintendo DS, I've been playing it a lot again, especially since this re-release came with bonus stuff like an extra dungeon. ;D
-
I never really played them, but I remember my kids playing Super Mario Brothers. I couldn't get past level 2!
-

Being form an older generation than most of the people on this site I am more into the retro-games and the days of stand up, kiosk-like, video games that have cup-holders for your beer! We have a bar in Denver called the "One-up" that is loaded with these games: Ms. Pac-man, Burger Time, Joust, Tron, StarWars, Centipede, Galaga, Popeye, Beer Tapper,Tempest and full-sized Jenga(to name a few). My favorite is a tie between Ms. Pac-man and Galaga. I can rule both games for about forty five minutes.
-
One of my all time favorite games is grand theft auto. I enjoy the freedom you get in a sandbox game. Also the city of grand theft auto feels so real. (talking about GTA4). Even the personality of the people in the game is so realistic. I am so stoked for grand theft auto five to come out. But knowing the people at rockstar it will be a couple years until its out even though its been announced.
-
Well my favorite video game is Dark Cloud. The game is for the Playstation 2.

Thank you! I hope you had a great one too. I went to that link and had to sign up for a bunch of stuff, so I didn't want to have a paid premium account to play it. But I did find a site, have it downloaded on my computer, but I can't get it to run. I downloaded the application that makes Mac games work for PC and it won't recognize any of my commands. I think I may have given up lol. My last step is talking to a buddy of mine that is a computer programmer and ask him for help. I'm still thankful for the link since it definitely sent me in the right direction. Now I just need to figure it out! I guess I'm not as computer savvy as I thought!

I like a lot of games but the one i really play is resident evil for PlayStation 3
-
I don't know if this counts, but I used to like Sims..now i jsut play what my toddler wants, like mario on the wii or plants vs zombies.
-
Contra and Tetris for the original Nintendo is right up there for me. When I was in school, I loved when computer class happened to get to play Oregon Trail and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? As for modern games, the Rock Band series is right there. There's just something about jamming out with friends and family on plastic instruments. lol
-
I remember when people had Pac-Man Feaver. that gam was innocent but addictive. These Days you have to be carefull what games your children are getting addicted to
-
Resident Evil...I have ALL of the games and still play some of the older ones....I don't care if they make RE 100...I will probably buy it.

-
Grand theft auto III on ps2!!!!!! So gooooddddd

I have various games but if I have to choose one I will say Alone in the dark from the PS one version not the new one. It is really scary and intense.
-
Of all time, I'd have to say Tetris. A close second is Millipede. Tetris is so addictive, easily you can lose hours hypnotically. ;) ;D :peace:
Tetris all the way I can't believe the hours I would spend on that game. Once I got to the really fast levels I would get so tense and focused.
