Title: A spoon full of sugar... How about a spoon full of Peanut Butter!!

I had the drain cover from my brand new washing machine... with a label I could NOT get off.
It of course tore the top of the label off.. leaving the underside of the label and the glue. :angry7:

Well for about 6 months plus.. this piece of plastic cover sat on the back of my counter. I had tried goo-gone, dissolve it, etc. Nothing worked. :dontknow:

I was looking up things online one day.. and read something about Peanut Butter. :o

It said to use that as a sticky residue remover.

hmm... I was very skeptical. :dontknow:

I tried it anyways.. What did I have to loose?

In about an week I checked this.. and would you believe...
:heart: :thumbsup: :heart: The label lifted right off!!! IN ONE PIECE!! :heart: :thumbsup: :heart:

I was and still am AMAZED at how quick this worked!!!

**I remember growing up, my Mom used to use Peanut Butter to get gum out of my sisters hair!! :icon_rr:
***This takes that to another level!!!

:star: :star: Grab a spoon of Peanut Butter for gum, glue, labels etc.. and see how great that works!! :star: :star:

My wife uses a spoonful of peanut butter to "cure" hiccups.

Post by: SherylsShado on January 25, 2012, 11:05:08 am: Usually when I need to remove a label, I use a hot hand dryer first and after a few minutes the label & the "sticky" peels right off. I also use goo-gone in a pinch. I've never tried peanut butter to remove a label---it's nice to know, thanks!! :)

Funny you should say that... I seem to get the hiccups more now too!! lol

It really works great to get the label off the peanut butter jar!!!

Funny... use peanut butter to get the sticky part of the label off the peanut butter jar!

I have used it to get gum out of hair, but never to get labels off. I will have to try that on my next stubborn label :)
