Title: what punishment did you do to your kids they remember to this day

my favorite was when my 19 yr old was about 12 and was going through a very tought time of knowing when to keep her mouth shut  for some reason i cant remmeber why, she kept back talking me,telling me what i was or wasnt going to do you know the works, she was pissing me off and i told her for every word that comes out of your mouth, will 1 day grounding, by the time she stopped she was grounded for 35 day?s, in the middle of summer vacation a few days later she come sup to me and asked if there is anything she can do to get out of this punishment 7 weeks grounded in summmer you would think i have her laying on nails.

I sed let me think  about it

I go to her and said heres the deal, if you back out of it, try cheating on it, you will go back tothe begining. I am going to give you 35 chores to do 35 for 35 days grounding, they wont be easy ones either. 
when your done with all 35 your grounding is over. she got 3 weeks off for good behavior swears to this day she wont ever talk back again lol

The only one I can think of was when I came home and found my older son and his friend throwing stuff in the neighbor's yard because they didn't like her. I found my younger son hiding under a bush and I gave him a whack on the rear. Turns out he wasn't doing anything. I felt so bad about that and they think it's funny even now!

My kids are too young to remember anything so far. My son is 4 and my daughter is 1. Besides time out and spanks if they are really bad I just trick them into doing what I want. My son has to think its his idea or he won't do anything. He does not listen at all anymore. When he was 3 he did what ever I asked and now that he will be 5 in May he just argues, so my daughter does too. I will be doing the grounding when they get older though. I like the grounding per talk back idea.

This past Christmas,mine reminded me of the time I took back his Christmas present because he peeked. He was telling my grandsons about it while they were messing with the presents I got them. They couldn't believe I did something like that. I ended up getting my son that present for his birthday the following Feb.

taking away the video games....they think they're in hell.
