revoked.....thoughts???
-
My thoughts are that MLB is behind this somehow... Seems to me they just couldn't endure another "black eye" since he is the defending league MVP and all.... I know his story is unique etc, but I really don't care! Seems like a double standard to me. If it's a banned substance, then no excuse will work in my eyes... They are all multi-millionaires, not to mention the team doctors and medical expertise they have at their disposal to use any time they need it. There really is no excuse for a failed test for any substance, EVER! They may be playing a kids game but some of them need to grow up and be responsible adults like the rest of the world is expected to act. If Big Mac, Bonds, Clemens, A-Rod, Manny and the rest of em' have to suffer than so should Braun. His numbers were quite ridiculous last year anyhow, so it wouldn't surprise me if there is more to this story than we were ever told in the first place.... What was his excuse again anyhow, cold medicine... LOL! ::)

WRONG. MLB is not behind this. They are very upset that the suspension was over turned. The suspension was revoked on a technicality.
A board of three people (MLB Player Rep, MLB Office Rep, Independent Arbitrator) voted. The vote was 2-1 to revoke the suspension. The Arbitrator and Rep voted yes. MLB released a statement that they disagree vehemently with the ruling.

I don't understand the ruling - something about Fed-Ex not picking up the sample on time. Sounds a little fishy to me.

hey people get off on technicalities in court so I don't think it's a conspiracy just a mistake on person who handeled sample.

One would think MLB would be smart enough to avoid this kind of technical error. It will be interesting to see Braun's numbers this year. Just a hunch... we'll see a dramatic decrease in his stats.

I have no idea what you're talking about. This must be sports-related. :)
