Banning all guns wouldn't improve the economy. If we're still in a recession, the common-sense thing would be to lower retail prices and sell more goods, (increased sales would boost the bottomline more than selling fewer goods at higher prices). Unfortunately, greed makes common sense most uncommon.

Print more money and pass it out

Lol, I wish!

Your opinion it sure would take us out of debut for the manufacturing of guns why waste money on guns but im not going to get mad were entitled to our opins that was mines o well
-

It's a shame that the consequence of that scheme would be deflation of currency.
-

Gun manufacture, (and the weapons black market), is a very profitable business. There isn't a lot of incentive to lower the retail, (or black market), prices on weapons; even with the 'sell more/make more money' "opinion" expressed.

Lower fuel prices, so people can survive harsh winters!
-
There are several things I would change, but since I need to mention one, I would create more jobs for the American people. Which in turn that would create more money in the economy.

Banning guns wouldnt do *bleep* to help the economy.. violence isnt caused by guns.. violence can be hand to hand..or pick up a club. (as for only offices having guns.. that would open door for more abuse of power) besides if guns were outlawed. crminals would still get them
-
sorry, forgot to add.. I would lower fuel prices.. could also try legalizing marijuana - i know sounds bad, but could tax it and regulate it .. its coming into the country and we fight it all we can and end up wasting the money on arresting people for minor posession and clogging the court system.. also having to pay for public defendors for thes minor offenses.
-
Lower fuel prices, RUN FOR GOVERNMENT AND GET RID OF ALL THE PEOPLE IN GOVERNMENT THAT MAKE MONEY FROM US.
-

That wouldn't do anything to improve the economy. It would actually do more to hurt the economy as you would be eliminating jobs in the manufacturing and retail of guns.
-
Lower the gas prices. I believe lowering that would be the start to getting the economy back on the right track.
-
Everything really. I'm not very into politics but I know that we sold out to other countries and now there isn't any jobs. Well, no jobs in Michigan that is. I feel like GM used us
-
High paying jobs for anyone who wants to show up each day and work hard. As long as that is available, everyone who want to work could succeed and have a good life.

Asking for opinions which may or may not agree with yours leaves the question open for debate. You posted it the "Off-Topics" forum which does not mean that the opinions presented won't be debatable.

You posted a debatable question and aren't happy with opposing opinions in reply? As for "16 year old childish" stuff; the irony here is sublime. It's unlikely that you'd want to 'debate' with someone who is significantly older than 16, or do you?
-

This is not "Tierasmith's" personal forum; it's a public one. However, if you wish to move it from Off-Topic to Debate + Discussion, would you be willing to debate & discuss it?

I wish I could figure a way to increase avaliable jobs
-
for michigan to get back on track and for my fiancees casino to start getting in higher profits so they can increase the per cap to where it was 2 years ago
-
i would wish the price of gas was lower
-
put more priority on education and less on people at the top making more and more.downsize govt and try to get them to think of what's best for country rather than a poltical party or being influenced so much with money.

I would change the rules on Bankruptcy and make it more accessible, without penalty, to those that have excessive hospital bills. Making health care affordable for everyone is a nice goal but somone ends up getting hurt in the long run. Changing tax rates ends up messing up the balance of our economy. Tax the wealthy at a higher rate would result in an "Atlas Shrugged" economy where all of our top talent would disappear. I don't think that taking the guns away from law-abiding citizens will result in less violence. I think that most of the gun violence is coming from stolen guns any way.
-
1) Lower gasoline pricing (back to under $2.00 per gallon)
which would help create
2) Lots more private sector jobs
3) More credit available to people
-
I disagree with making guns available to law enforcements. Criminals get their own guns other than paperwork, so that leaves your average citizen defenseless in a home invasion... my 2 cents
-
Print more money and pass it out
printing more money would cause more problems then it would fix
-
The one thing that I would change would be that the economy be good enough to support each and every person in our country. I get quite angry seeing all the money spent on useless wars and politics when we have hungry, homeless and jobless people in this country.
There is so much opportunity for everyone in a good economy.
-

How so? Then everyone would have more money.

If half the people in this thread are allowed to arbitrarily lower gas prices, I am allowed to print money with no adverse effects on its value.

Oh, arbitrary is it? Okay, what adverse effects would ripple through the economy were gas prices to be lowered from gouging tens of billions down to just gouging a few billion?

Yacht sales and manufacturing would be grossly effected.

Yacht sales and manufacturing would be grossly effected.
You mean that oil billionaires would have to lease 'em instead? Ack! How would manufacturing suffer from lower fuel prices?

I would change raise minimum wage, because that would help people survive.

Yea, but just poor people. They don't help the economy anyway.

That's right; everyone knows poor people forage in the woods with food stamps or, EBT cards. It's really difficult to swipe one of those cards through a cottontail rabbit too. I wouldn't recommend it and, the rabbit probably doesn't enjoy it either.
-
I would lower the price of gas.
-
My pay check - really. I seem to be having a difficult time finding a better paying job or in that matter a good job that I can better support myself and within an industry I am more suited to work. A global change I would change about this economy, is that I would "fine" every single corporation that employed over-seas without employing here in the USA. How did that happen anyway? We are giving corporations tax advantages and government money to employ people from over-seas before employing people from USA first? So, that is two things I'd want to change, first my personal changes and next, a global change to help others.
-
I'd get the government to live within their own means. The government is overspending too much on things that it should not be concerned with. It keeps pulling money out of the private sector without adding much benefit to the economy (and usually it just tends to hurt the economy more by trying to incorporate other issues into its spending and regulations). Too many people want some socialist utopia where they get all sorts of "goodies" from the government without wanting to pay for it or thinking of the ramifications that this would result in. As such you have what's going on in Europe where the countries are going broke and in order to survive financially they have to impose austerity measures to severely limit government spending.
-
Demand everyone become my referral at FusionCash. Instant cure for a sagging economy.
-
Stronger gun control and for everyone to stop blaming Obama for all of the problems.
-
Lower the cost of fuel, then the truckers could lower their rates, farmers wouldn'thave to pay as much to grow their crops, manufacturing could raise their wages, It can go on and on. But everything goes back to the high cost of fuel.
As for gun control, you have to pass a back ground check to legally buy a gun, the bad guys steal them. The bad guys are the ones that need to be controled not the law abiding citizens.

I have the same idea. I think no need weapon around to help all of our children learn the violent things.
-
How would banning guns help the economy? Help me understand, please.
-
I would institute a law that any one person can only amass a certain amount of money...a sort of cap on their income. If they pass that amount then the income tax should be so high that the cap amount stays the same. I know it sounds terrible, but it would mean that there will be more money available to go around. I mean.....how many vehicles/houses/yachts/businesses does one person need?
-

That isn't the same idea I mentioned so, I don't know which idea you're referring to.
-
I'd vote for Ron Paul as I feel he is the only candidate out there that understands what is wrong with our economy and how to fix it. :D
-
I agree with Mykat - he seems to be the only one that speaks some kind of sense
-
I know this isn't a direct answer to your question, but all I can say is wish all you want, we are going down, and we will probably never come back up...every great nation falls, history repeats itself, and that's what's happening to America..wish it wasn't so, but must face the facts.
-
I would ask why the price for barrel of crued oil closed at just under 110. today. yet back in 2006 - 2008 when gas prices started to climb above 3 dollars, the price of crued oil was 129 per barrel.. the price of crued is less now in 2012 yet the price per gallon is higher than in 2008 when the price per barrel was higher..
-
I would cut down on unemployment, there are jobs but people will not get jobs for less pay, and why would they when the government is paying them :BangHead:
-
Banning guns will never change the economy. Putting people back to work and stop the greedy banks from utilizing money they have no right to. Stop taxing businesses so heavily that they move out of state and start outsourcing to other countries where it costs only pennies instead of dollars in the state. That's just a beginning.
-
I am extremely confused right now. The economy is the way it is and you would get rid of guns? How would this fix the economy? In reality it would only hurt the economy.
-
take my guns, i would give you the bullets first.. ;D >:( ;D
