Title: what room would you like to change most in your house?
Post by: pkrahmer on March 03, 2012, 05:37:34 am: There are 2 rooms I would like to change the kitchen and the bathroom. I would say the kitchen wins since I have never liked the kitchen and Ilived in the place 20 years. :wave: :peace:

Since it's a rental there isn't much we can do with the place. But I would have to go with my son's space. His rooms shares as the living room and is the first thing people see when they walk in. There isn't much we can do with a 12 year old's lego collection and other finer possessions he has. Imagine his frustration his closet has been sacrificed for her sisters clothing and the first part of his room has everyone winter boots and coats hung on hooks. Ahhh but it's home.

Post by: girlswin2 on March 04, 2012, 10:38:29 am: I would change the bathroom get rid of the bath tube and replace with shower or put in a walk in tub with the jets that you can sit in and relax. Then it would be kitchen counter tops then front living room get rid of paneling and carpet thoughout the house. Then I would turn one bedroom into a cat playroom which we are slowly working on. I would then be a happy person with our house. Even if I could never do any of this I would be happy and grateful for what I do have b/c so many don't have as much. :cat:

But right now we are changing out all the windows, it will be nice when done and then go on to another project.

Post by: meguk on March 04, 2012, 06:59:02 pm: The bathroom. It's cold and drafty. It desperately needs to be insulated properly and ventilated. Unfortunately, we rent, so there's nothing we can do about the situation.

I wasn't planning on doing that room anytime soon, but I found it had been constantly leaking since it was built in 2006. I found out when my kitchen light almost fell off the ceiling one day because of the water. >:( I was angry, but I'm almost done now and it looks beautiful.

Currently the 2 younger ones share with bunkbeds. Would love for them to each have a space of their own!

OMG, us too! Can't put a full set of furniture in ours.

There will be alot of things to climb on, multiple cat "trees", lots of toys and window perches. Lots of work... :thumbsup:

The door and everything is just awkward. I'd also appreciate a bigger tub, the current is smaller than the standard sizes used today. Makes it very cozy, and not in a good way LOL

Can't really change that, but he is wanting to redecorate by getting away from the sponge bob look and move towards a theme maybe more related to his favorite action heros.
