Well, you asked, so here it is...my half slip fell down around my ankles...oh yes, it did. And I was making a bee-line for the boy of my dreams when it happened. So there you have it. I was devastated. And never did get to talk to him after that, either. Sigh.

I don’t recall having an embarrassing moment as a freshman in high school. I remember earning good grades on my report card with minimal effort.

Holy cow!!! That was 55 years ago. I don't remember a thing about it :dontknow: :dontknow:

I think my most embarassing memory from my freshman year was getting caught by my mom trying to "get to know" my boyfriend better lol

Telling my teacher she didn't know what she was talking about. I had to go the office. BUT i was right. I am a native New Mexican and we were living in Ohio, she told me New Mexico was not in the USA. Boy that was a long long time ago. Think they are smarter now.

I thought that school ended right after an assembly at the end of the day. I went to the bathroom and was waiting for the buses but none came. I assumed the first batch of buses had left and my bus would arrive shortly but there weren't many people waiting. After several minutes I ended up going to the office to find out what was going on and it turned out there was still about a half hour left of school and I wasn't informed. The principle escorted me to class. It was so embarrassing and to make matters worse a group of guys started making fun of me all throughout high school after this incident.

We were having a class discussion about blue birds the teacher claimed they were about all gone, few left in the country. Well I spoke up and said that at our camp in the woods there were at least 6 mating pairs of bluebirds w/baby birds in the nests, and that maybe he was looking in the wrong places for them. After he got done glaring at me, he yelled at me in front of the entire class. After all he was the teacher and he knew better than me. I felt really sad for me and for him needing that much control over us that any thought different then his was wrong.
