I have had netflix for over a year I like it but have been thinking about changing to hulu does anyone have hulu and any feelings on which is better?
-
From what I understand it is pretty much the same thing. I have had Netflix for like 6 years and am too lazy to switch over. $8 isn't that much anyway.
-
In my opinion both are equal in quality and service the only difference I se between both of them is that in Netflix you do not have commercials and in Hulu Plus you do. But really I like both equally. The save me money and I can watch my favorites shows at anytime I want.

NETFLIX IS HOT RIGHT ABOUT NOW THE HAVE THE MARKET.AND THEIR PRICE IS RIGHT YOU CANT GO WRONG

Hulu is available thru my blue ray player just one of the many options lol from what I can see its pretty much the same as netflix or as least close .The only thing is Hulu only gives one week of a free trial I need more than a week to test something out thanks for the input fc gang

I have Netflix for years now, but my daughter told me about Hulu and I will try this too.

I've had Netflix for years now and sometime last year we just went to streaming instead of dvds. I've watched Hulu on my computer. I guess they're about the same. Netflix has Starz play and no commercials. They are slow in getting new movies but it's not too bad. I can catch up on old t.v. episodes I've never seen. I like it and it's affordable.
-
I have both Netflix and Hulu which I stream to my TV using a Roku . They are pretty equivalent but if I had to give up one of them it would be Hulu because of the commercials. Netflix is reliable when I have streamed and it has more programming in my opinion.
-
I use both although I don't pay for hulu plus I just watch the free shows on hulu. I use hulu to watch my weekly shows and I use netflix when I have some extra time to watch other shows or movies that are older. All the streaming sites have very similar content because they have to bargain for rights to each movie and show they have online. Usually all the companies have about equal rights to the same things which means very few newer movies and shows. This makes it difficult because you often want to watch the most recent releases after they have left the theater and it may take years or may never get put on the streaming sites. That's why I also have Blockbuster mail out dvds as well. They have video games and newer movies for a decent monthly rate. All in all I am paying about $13/mo at Blockbuster and $8/mo at Netflix. Sometimes I think about getting rid of netflix but it has a decent amount of anime and shows that keep me interested especially during the off season months when there isn't much on Hulu.

I like hulu, watch shows for free and on my console and laptop, but they both do the same, just that netflix gives you a month to try them, and hulu is always free. :icon_rr:

I just signed up for netflix but I don't see my instant credit. When does it go into my account?
-
I never had hulu. only netflix. it was okay.
-
I love netflix. Im not to familliar with hulu though. Other than the free version.
-
netflix does i think
-
Netflix and Hulu is like oranges and apples. Netflix has more movies than shows. Hulu has more current shows that are on air now and not that many movies. I guess it all depends on what you like the most. I watch them both.

I agree with this, their offerings seem very different to me. We go with Netflix because we're more film oriented than shows. Also, we still like getting those DVDs. We'd switch to streaming only if Netflix had a better selection of streaming titles, but sometimes we just prefer the DVD's anyway. Occasionally I have lag or bad quality with some of the films I stream
-
neither are great
-
we like netflx
-
Hulu used to be free so it was better but now that you have to pay for hulu plus i'd say netflix is better
-
Ive used the free version of hulu online for awhile. I stopped a couple of months ago and started using netflix. I love netflix. I tried the ree week of hulu plus and didnt even watch it :dontknow: Cant really beat $8 a month just wish they had some newer stuff lol

I have Netflix for about 5 years and I think that they are wonderful, but I have also tried hulu and didnt care that much for it. I would stick with Netflix personally I think their service is better :)
-
Hulu has more current tv shows, doesn't it? So I suppose it's better in that regard, but I currently using Netflix.
-
i like both but i'm thinking about going with blockbuster. especially if you have dish network already.
-
I think netflix is good but I have never tried hulu but friends say that its better
-
both are pretty much the same
-
We watch Netflex sometimes it is cheaper then DirecTv. $100 verse $8 for a couple of times a month.
-
Don't know to much about Hulu, but I have tried to use it and there is always a problem....I have had Netflix for about 2 years not and I love it
-
I like netflix i have had it for quite some time i heard that hulu is alot like it but some of my friends say hulu has better movies as far as getting new ones faster i dont know for sure. I will probably just stick with what i know and keep netflix.
-
I have Netflix but have never heard of hulu. I have heard that Blockbuster is now doing the same thing as Netflix though.
-
UGH< the wave of the future.
I prefer the good old fashioned video store.---mainly because I own one. :sad1:
-
Only tried Netflix and have had no reason to switch. Redbox is kinda nice though.
-
im still like netflix for 8 dollar amonth im stay
-
I have a DVR that I record TV on, so Netflix is definitely better for me. I tried Hulu Plus, but realized if you either watch the TV shows live or tape them, then it's kind of pointless to have. I use my Netflix all the time though. I just finished watching Breaking Bad. Such a good show! I can't believe I hadn't seen it sooner.
-
I never tried any of them because I enjoy using the redbox. Its too bad I have to return the movie the next day or else they will charge me again. It would be nice if I can rent a movie for 3 or 4 days without being charged more than once.
-
I would definitely prefer Netflix.

Oh, I'm so glad I found this thread, as I just bought a Roku so that I could get rid of Directv. Tired of paying $85+ per month when I don't watch TV all that much (I'm more of an Internet junkie ::)). I just couldn't decide whether to sign up for Netflix or Hulu Plus, but from what I've been reading here, the consensus is Netflix.
-
Thanks again ..........my brother did hulu I have netflix we have decided netflix is better I will not be switching over I do miss the dvd's in the mail but it is nice that do keep adding new movies and seasons of different shows. For 8.00 I don't think it can be beat.
-
There's no point in Hulu Plus. It's exactly like regular Hulu, except now they're restrictions access to things you can easily get elsewhere for free.
I probably prefer Netflix, but with their contract with Starz ending and Comcast On Demand starting to do free streaming of older shows and movies, it'll probably be a matter of time before I just stick to that.
-
it really up to you you must pick .
-
I have Netflix and I like that pretty much
-
I love HULU. I've enjoyed it for several years and the choices are tremendous. I started a free month trial, but to be honest, the free version is so awesome, I couldn't see paying for something when I will never view all the free stuff in my lifetime
