I think Romney will be nominated. Personally I don't care for him, but then again, Obama isn't doing much to fix this country either. His purposed health care stinks. Might be forced to pay for insurance that I cannot afford or be fined.

I think Obama will serve a second term. No Democratic presidential incumbent has been defeated going for a second term by a non-conservative Republican. Romney is too "liberal" for the right-wing based Republican party so Obama will get enough crossover votes to win again.

Since politics is usually one of those touchy issues along with religion, I will put my vote this way. Whomever displays the most godly characteristics is the one I will be casting my vote for. We certainly need a man or woman who will put our country back on track to godly principles that will benefit all Americans and not just a select few or the ones that pay the politicians to vote a certain way but not based on selfish personal interests, but rather the good of the whole.

Well this is sure an interesting topic. Of course Politics always is. Some one stated if Mr. Magoo was running they would vote for him. I second the motion. I wonder how many people on this forum know who Mr. Magoo is? Now that would be interesting to find out too.

There are valid reasons why the establishment of a state-sponsored religion is prohibited by constitutional amendment.
Whomever displays the most godly characteristics is the one I will be casting my vote for. We certainly need a man or woman who will put our country back on track to godly principles that will benefit all Americans and not just a select few or the ones that pay the politicians to vote a certain way but not based on selfish personal interests, but rather the good of the whole.
Your implicit preference for a de facto theocracy is one of the reasons for the constitutional prohibition. The country needs less superstitious nonsense influencing political decisions, not more. What if we elect a satanist in 2016, or a wiccan or, a Santerian? Oh sure, it's alright if it's a xtian fundie, huh? See, I'd object to either on the general grounds of the first amendment, (and specifically, because we don't want Iran to start calling US the "great satan" again).

Obama has certainly done enough. His administration has messed up my economy for the past 4 years, and I'm sure many of you as well. If you've benefited by his administration, let one of us know as I haven't met anyone yet. I would vote for Jesus if He were running, but that will all come in due time, about the time of the One World Government I'm sure. So I guess for now, I'll just have to settle for someone that is NOT Obama. If he says "Yes, we can!" again, I'm going to say, "No, we can't!"

With republican opposition, he's done what can be compromised upon. It could be worse; there could be a majority of republicans in Congress AND a republican president, (e.g., Reagan - 1983 recession).
His administration has messed up my economy for the past 4 years, and I'm sure many of you as well.
Unless you have your own private economy and aren't participating in the national one, it's more likely that you're referring to your personal economic situation in the general economy. Prices have risen, (for everyone). Inflation has nudged up a few percent, (for everyone). These factors are economic and the sitting president has no direct control over supply/demand/speculation effects on the markets, (only a limited influence). That includes "anyone else" elected as president; including "jesus", (who cannot run as "jesus" and I'll elaborate as to why should you disprove my current theory that you're evangelizing in lieu of discussion & debate responses).
If you've benefited by his administration, let one of us know as I haven't met anyone yet.
I've neither benefited nor suffered through Obama's administration thusfar. Any benefits obtained, I've worked for - any suffering endured has occurred due to economic processes beyond what I can directly affect. I take personal responsibility for the former with the internal fortitude to make it through the latter on my own. This country wasn't built by people saying "gimme, gimme", begging supernatural entities for stuff or, blaming whoever happened to sit in executive office at the time; it was built by people who created opportunities where none existed before. Since this nation was formed, we've had people immigrate from all over because they either felt that such was possible or, they we'd provide a free lunch.

Well, that's significantly worse than a theocracy in the U.S. alone. Maybe that's what the muslims fear, (and gives reasons beyond 9/11 to guard against such).

Tough question. The republicans can't even stand behind one nominee while the current president did an excellent job at trying to clean up the previous administration's mess. A deficit ridden, unemployment filled wreck, war seeking nation that is beginning to turn around under the guidance of current administration. Romney would make an excellent choice to run against Obama but can't get his own party to stand by him. Republicans keep inserting one cretin after another in their bid to find someone other than Romney who stands a chance against Obama. I feel confident that we are seeing a second term for Obama.

Now that is a surprise and thoughtful statement!! Actually that is not totally the truth, whomever gets the most electorial votes will win. I believe, if we don't make a change from the current course we are on, we will be on a reversable path that Greece, Spain and most likely Italy is on. This is a pivotable point in our history and we can't look at it litely. When other countries like Canada and England are giving us advise, not to do what they have done, you know we are going the wrong way. This is a point of no return and it is coming in this election.

I think this country better start praying for change, and really think about each candidate and the way they will take the country to where it should be, therefore with that being said.....I PRAY Obama WILL NOT be elected again, I believe he has been the worst president ever....Anybody that will give $10,000 back in taxes to a family that didn't pay into any taxes, will NOT be taking our country down a good path!!! That's only ever happened once. And it was a Republican who benefited from this.
Anyone who thinks the Electoral College isn't fair AND is not a democrat just isn't smart. The electoral college helps to give power to States (a republican platform)
For instance, Wyoming is pointless. They however get 3 votes in the presidential election. This gives them about one half of one percent of the votes when their population only makes up about one tenth of one percent of the people. If not for the Electoral College every national election would ONLY cater to Los Angeles, NYC, and MAYBE Chicago. The electoral college forces Presidential Candidates to look out for the interest of the entire country.

I wouldn't blame people for moving to another country if Obama serves another term. I don't know why we would vote for someone whose actions clearly make him anti american. People were dumb enough to vote for him the first time, so I guess it wouldn't be a huge surprised if those people haven't gotten any smarter.

I think our current president is staying exactly where he is. Who wants a moneybag Rom$ney or fascist Santorum for president? Yuck. Ol' Ron Paul has got to be the best GOP candidate but he'd have to choose his Vice President VERY carefully if you know what I mean. And Gingrich? About as SOL as Paul.
