I was sitting at the wall of the tennis court and when i was still talking with my friend,
a bird flew above me and pooed. --______--
It got on my hair, my sports bag, my cardigan and my pants.
But then my teacher told me it was good luck. . . :o
Is it really? :dontknow:

lol, i'm so sorry that happened! have you ever seen
the movie ''now and then'' ? your story reminds me of
a scene where a bird does his business in one of the girls'
hair... love that movie.
never heard it was good luck, though.

Most have been a bad day. I think that happen to me once but it was a long time ago. :BangHead: :BangHead:

I don't know if it's good luck, but what I do know I don't need that kind of luck. Sorry this happened to you must have been awful.
-
I also heard that was good luck for that to happen.
-
I don't think that has ever happened to me. That has to be like more than a "one in a a million chance", right????? Don't you wish we had odds like that when it came to winning the lottery??? >:(
Sorry that happened though, but i also have never heard of that being good luck. Maybe you should go buy a lottery ticket. lol ;D

Why that naughty little divebomber! He watched you with your friend and decided to let you have it! Don't believe those stories of the innocent little birdie who accidently pooed on you. I tell you it's a conspiracy! They are watching us and if we are not careful they are gonna get us! Look up in the sky and see them looking at us with their beady little eyes waiting for their chance to bomb us! Be careful! I tell you they're out there! :) :) :)

that happened to my bestfriend on her bday she was so upset. You brought back memories. She was a good sport even when we cracked jokes.

Oo, wow! Too weird. A bird got me today, too! Actually it was husband's pet pigeon... hahaha. This bird is evil I think. He flies around after me and tries to land on my head. When I let him, he pecks and pulls at my hair. He acts totally tame towards everyone else, though.. Maybe he just has a personal vendetta against me?? All I'm saying is, this bird better remember who it is that buys his seed and changes his paper the next time he tries to poo on me again! :bootyshake:
-
P.S.... My grandmother always told me was good luck, too... CRAZY, huh!? How could birdy poo possibly be lucky??? :angry7:
-
thats good luck

I'm always afraid of that happening to me when there's birds flying around. I've always heard it's supposed to be good luck, too. Hopefully it is, and will make up for the bad experience.

Well this is another reason I love forum I went earlier and read some post that ticked me off of the rudeness of some ppl and then i see this and laughed not at you but at the time me and my sis were walking she looked up in the sky and splllllaaaat a bird pooed in her face I never laughed so hard in my life and she was mad lol i wonder if she still remembers that hahaha ty for making my day and sorry to hear that bird did that what did your friend do??
-
I'm sure it's good luck for the birdie, but not so sure people get lucky! :dontknow:
-
not sure if it's good luck or not. afraid reading this, the only thing that comes to mind is the word Ewwww lol

When I was 10 my parents and I went to Wisconsin to visit some relatives and a bird pooped on my mom. And I can tell you she did not think it meant good luck. I think it's only good luck if something really awesome happens to you afterwards. :)

A bird poop on someone means that the person was beneath the bird's flight-path when it let loose. This event confers neither good nor bad "luck" for the future, (although is more likely to be considered "bad luck" at the time of the pooping event than superstitiously otherwise).

I agree with you. Sometimes i post things up and people say rude things.
I simply ignore it because at that point, if someone has to argue with a teen, i've come to a conclusion that i wouldn't be able to change their way of thought.
:) I try to post things that just happen to me. :)

That happened to me back when I was a little girl twice. Once my school took us on a field trip to disney world and it was around lunchtime.I had just gotten a hot dog and sat down on a bench by a tree. Before I even got finished putting the mustard on my hot dog, a little evil bird came and pooped on my arm. The only good luck that came out of that was that I was wearing long sleeves. The second time that happened I was at the zoo. The bird didn't aim at me that time but he got the guy standing next to me and it splashed :-X I hate birds.

I know, i get nervous about posting because so far, i've come to the conclusion that many of the comments I get on some of my posts are really rude.
:) My friend helped me wipe the poo out of my hair. THen i went to wash it in the girls bathroom, and sanitized it. LOLOL

You know, I've always been surprised that this does not happen more often. When I think of all the times I've been outside either by myself or with others and how few times I can remember this ever happening to anyone it's pretty rare. Sorry you had the experience today, but love the thought that it is "good luck". What a nice thing for your teacher to say! I found this on the internet about the good luck portion:
It has to do with the odds of it happening by random chance. Its like 1 in a billion which is almost the same as winning the lottery. So if you are statistically able to get bird poop on you, then you should also be able to win the lottery.
-
now you have an excuse to wear a hat to practice, lol.
-
sorry to hear that but as for luck never heard of it

Maybe it's only 'lucky' if the person pooed upon wasn't looking up at the time and avoided getting an eyefull?

WHEN I WAS A KID ME AND MY MOM WENT TO GET A HOT DOG AT ORCHARD BEACH AND A BIRD POOED ON HER SHOULDER. SHE THOUGHT THE HOT DOG GUY FLUNG RELISH ON HER AND STARTED A HUGE SCEEN. NEVER FORGOT THAT I WAS LIKE 4 YEARS OLD. NOT TOO YOUNG TO BE EMARRASSED!
-
From the time I was a very little girl, I remember being taught that when you look up toward the sky, keep your mouth shut. I consciously thought of that whenever I looked up. I think the poo thing happened to my mom once and she was trying to protect me. I don't know if it's lucky or not, but I'd like to think that it is! I agree with the others who said, "Go buy a lottery ticket!"

i have no idea if it is good luck for not but if u believe it is then it will be.

Well, no. Unless you have evidence that such a belief serves as a viable "placebo effect"; do you?
-
thats great! it aint good luck i have a bird and get pooped on and nothing lol

There you go. No doubt tourists and staff at aviaries take a lot of crap and nothing 'lucky' can be attributed to ending up looking like a statue in the park, (and just how 'lucky' are statues I ask?).
-
I have never heard that it's good luck. :- My sister got pooped on by a bird once while we were kids, though. I hope you weren't going anywhere important!
-
I hate when that happens. There is never a good time for that to happen. >:(
-
I heard its good luck also but if that was the only way to get lucky i wouldn't want to be lucky.
-
I also heard it's good luck, but it's gross. It happened to me one day while I was laying in the sun at the beach when a seagull flew over me, then the damn thing swooped down and grabbed my sandwich. >:(

Ah-hah, then it _was_ a "lucky" day, (for the seagull that is).
-
i have always heard it was good luck, not sure how though. my dad was riding in a convertible once bird pooped on his head i dont think he ever considered it a good thing lol
-
lol, hope so
-
I never heard of that before. As far as I know, it’s just more work on bathing and more laundry. If the saying is true, have you encountered any good luck after that as of today?
-
Oh.. wow so sorry to hear. I know that was the most grosses feeling ever. It happened to me once in my life.. and no things didnt get successful after waste was dumped on my head its just apart of life. That gets to me... birds having the nerve to aim for a target they do it all the time at beaches when people arent really paying attention.
