I recently found out that I'm allergic to shrimp. I have been eating shrimp since I was a kid and I never got sick. I ordered a ceasar salad with shrimp, I have eaten that before, then I we :icon_rr:nt home. Later that night I was itching all over and my throat was tight and couldn't breath. I was rushed into the ER and stayed there for hours. Finaly my blood test results revealed that shrimp caused me to have those symptoms.

I have a mint allergy. It has progressively gotten worse over the years. The bad part is I love mint and have had to stop having different forms of it as my allergy worsens. It is very difficult with mint though since it is in allot of things we don't even think about. I am also allergic to rootbeer because most of it is made with wintergreen as an ingredient.

Yes, I have been allergic to all kinds of foods since I was a kid. I am allergic to cashews, mushrooms, and dairy products. I am always asking what is in this? I generally eat my own cooking to avoid what I can't have.

Lettuce, strangely enough as that is something I have always enjoyed all my life and suddenly within the last few years it became intolerable for me to eat. Even the smallest sliver causes me severe pain and discomfort for hours.

No I'm not allergic to any kind of food that I know of.

I'm not allergic to any foods, thank goodness. I would hate to find out later that I'm allergic to something I really like.

French fries. My stomach cannot tolerate fried potatoes.

I don't eat a large variety of foods, I guess I'd be considered a bit of a picky eater. There's a lot of things I won't eat, so if by chance I'm allergic to any of them then it's a good thing I already don't them. Other than that, I don't know of anything that I'm allergic to, but some things don't get along well with my digestive system.

I am not allergic to anything, nor are any of my other siblings, but I have three nieces who are all allergic to nuts. I don't drink milk (only use it in cereal) like I used to as sometimes it doesn't agree with my stomach.

I have celiac disease, so I guess everything that is fun to eat I'm allergic to. :BangHead: :BangHead:

Luckily no. My brother-in-laws girlfriend is allergic to almost everything and it really sucks!

I'm allergic to a lot of different foods. They effect me in different ways so I always have to be careful of what I eat and when.

MSG for one and other additives - the simpler the ingredient list
on packaged foods, the better..

I drank milk and enjoyed eating ice cream all my life and never had a problem and now within the last 3 years have developed an intolerance for milk and ice cream. Cant digest either product at all. I really hate that because I really love ice ceam. I think there is a pill you can take to help you digest dairy milk products. I will have to try that.

I can't eat strawberries ( grow them for the family though) they smell so good. Also can't have kiwi, oranges and grapefruits. Sucks

It is kind of funny but my allergies change from decade to decade. My initial years I had absolutely no allergies. In my second decade I found out that I was allergic to scallops...didn't matter what kind....bay or sea scallops would leave blisters in my mouth and now in my fourth decade I can eat them. I was never allergic to any kind of animal. I worked a few summers, in my teen years, as a horse trainer and cats were all over the place. If I get near a cat or a horse now, I am forty something, My eyes puff up/nose gets runny/throat gets scratchy...what's up with that? In the spring time the pollen from trees has started to shut me down.

It really is strange how allergies come and go. I have too many allergies to really even count. My family and joke that I am even "allergic to myself" because I have Lupus.

Thankfully I am not. I thought I was allergic to fig because I had eaten some in a salad then was sick that night. Then later had a lotion with it and the smell got me sick but I think it was b/c my mind put the smell w/that night together cause a few years later I was able to eat it fine

My oldest daughter also has problems with fruit. It gives her blisters every time she eats anything citrus.
