Recipe for Orange Cupcakes
1 3/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 large eggs, separated and eggs white beaten until stiff
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup orange juice
1 stick of butter, softened
Directions
Combine butter, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
Cream these ingredients together thorougly.
Mix flour, salt, and baking powder together in a separate mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients to creamed ingredients
1/3 at a time alternating with adding portions of the orange juice to the creamed mixture. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Spoon batter into cupcake liners until 1/2 full.
Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool cupcakes completely before frosting with orange Icing.

i agree, cupcakes do sound good!
i've been in the mood for one lately, but can't
decide on a flavor i want to make. this sounds
interesting with the orange juice!

My daughters & I were talking about making cupcakes and well the regular vanilla and chocolate weren't sounding too good. These sound yummy! Gonna try them out tomorow. Thanks for posting the recipe.

OH my gosh cupcakes sound good right now, I'll have to try these out sometime.

people used to use ready made mixes for their recipes.
nowadays, they are using fresher ingredients and going back to basics.
They seem to be making more effort in baking.
my grandma spent a lot of time in the kitchen.
Then, when I was growing up, my mom used cake mixes; brownie mixes.
why not use the juice from real oranges in your recipe?
