Whether it be wondering about why you're there
or what you want to do with your life.
What you think of yourself, or your family and friends.
Ever wonder you really are?
I do all the time, except i don't have to look at the sky.
It happens anywhere at anytime. -_____-
Sometimes i get frustrated with those questions.
-
Oh, yes, I sure do. I am a Christian praying woman, but I still do look at the sky and wonder (because I really am not sure) if my daddy is in Heaven and if he will greet me when I get there. I know that my daddy was a great man, but I know that means nothing. My dad had Alzheimer's when he died and our Pastor was there and he prayed with the Pastor but with brain deterioration, did he remember five minutes later the prayer he prayed? No none but daddy himself knows. But that is what I wonder about when I sit on my apartment balcony and stare into the clouds in the great beyond.

Yes. Quite frequently to be honest. I've done it for as long as I can remember. Though, majority of the time I wasn't looking up at the sky but instead staring off blankly at what ever was around me. In class, I always tried to sit by a window so I wouldn't just be staring at the wall or unintentionally staring at someone. I stand around randomly, lost in thought and just staring. Sometimes I might quietly talk to myself about what I'm thinking.

I'm sorry to hear that. :) He does sound like a great man. He would be proud.

Yes, I do this often. When I really want to reflect I just go outside and stare into the sky, day or night.
-
Yep, but then I get worried a nut will fall from a tree and hit me in the face. :sad1:

I think the sky and the atmosphere around our planet are amazing. So I do just sit there and wonder.
-
I look at the sky...just to see...the sky. Sometimes it's beautiful here in Cedar City, where in the evening, the sky is a mix of pink, white and blue. We have some really nice sunsets, here.
I manage to be introspective even when I don't look at the sky.

Do you get that many nuts climbing trees where you are?

I look at the moon and think about the fact that the same moon with the same light is also shining on so many other people who are looking at it.

Yes, when I look at the sky and everything around me I marvel at how big of a God we have and wonderful it is that he created all of this.

We are blessed, aren't we. The sky can show us amazing things during storms, great weather, etc.

Sounds like a poem you wrote there. Don't be bogged down or bothered too much by the "bigger" is my advice. Respect and admire it, but don't let your insignificant existence rule your...well, insignificant existence! lol ;D

I sometimes look in the sky and daydream. I wonder what it would be like if I could change everything under the sky. This is actually a great stress reliever believe it or not.

I think of sandwiches, I really like them. If I knew where the person who invented sandwiches was buried I would put a rose on his grave. No one thinks about sandwiches but the world would be a better place if people just shared a sandwich. I think of that when I look at the sky.

all the time :-

I look at the sky once in a while, but I wonder all the time. Meditation and prayer can answer some questions we all wonder about.
-
Honestly....
When I look up to the sky... (which I do often)
I feel at peace. :)
Hard to explain.
I look up to the sky and see a beautiful sky... It is either full of puffy clouds... or a clear blue sky... At night... it is full of bright stars... or cloud covered.. or you can see the big brilliant moon!!! JUST AMAZING!!!!
It makes me calm and at ease. :angel11:
I love it...
This really helps with my anxiety.
If I am having a bad day... I can sit and take a deep breathe...
And see all the wonderful things that sometimes we forgot are there...
I can watch the clouds float by... watch the leaves dance in the wind... I just soak in our beautiful nature. :bunny:
This truly helps me with dealing with the horrible anxiety and well pain too. Take your mind off it... and just gaze and enjoy the peace.... :angel11:
Thinking... is what I do not do when I enjoy this time...

There is no evidence that "prayer" has 'answered' any question ever posed. This is, instead, an unsupported religious belief.
"Religion is the masterpiece of the art of animal training, for it trains people as to how they shall think."
-- Arthur Schopenhauer

:) Always as gorgeous.

I like to look up to the clouds or sky as you call it. It gives me peace. I don’t even wonder or think of anything at all. :peace:
-
I love looking at the beautiful sky that God made for us to enjoy. I am always watching the clouds and try to make different animals, etc. out of their shapes. As for wondering why I am here, I guess mostly to enjoy God's awesome creation and to worship Him.

That religious attribution is false because it lacks evidence.
As for wondering why I am here, I guess mostly to enjoy God's awesome creation and to worship Him.
That's a faith-based religious belief which has no valid basis.

Looking at the sky always brings me peace, and helps put things in perspective. Ego sometimes makes things complicated, but after some sky-gazing, I always appreciate what I have, and my mind gains clarity.

I agree with you, albefish. Others won't.
I am at peace.

It's easier to agree with nonsense out of blind faith than to disagree and support a dissenting rational viewpoint. That religious attribution is false because it lacks evidence and just another faith-based religious belief which has no valid basis.

I know God created the heavens, and I know that whereever I look my Lord is.

Ever since the 9/11 tragedy if I am away from home or outside I look up in the sky and check to see if I can see a comercial jet flying which gives me the secure feeling that at least nothing major bad is going on because that would be the first thing grounded.

As an art student, I find myself loving summer and fall time. I just spend the entire day at the park, lying flat-backed on the grass, and watching the world go by. I try not to think too much when I look up at the sky. I just allow myself to get lost in the sea of blue, with the occasional white that passes in my line of sight. I've usually got headphones in, a coffee in one hand, and a notepad and pen nearby for whenever inspiration hits me the hardest. It's really a great way to spend the afternoon.

Sometimes, when I lie on the lawn and look up into the eternal blue of the sky, I wonder where I would end up if I could fly straight up and just keep going.....
-
Yes!!! I do all the time! I just think about all sorts of things that I don't have answers to. I don't have to be looking at the sky, either, but usually I think about things at night when I'm in the dark in bed.

Nothing like being in a quiet place with pretty surroundings, such as mountains, or lake/river, and yes looking up and thinking....bout life, what it means, how it all started, and where I am going.
-
I do....It just amazes me of what a wonderful creation God made.

I n the beginning God created the heaven and earth. Every thing of it that was made. I look up to the sky and wonderful creation.

A superstitious religious belief is not evidence of that belief.
