Im a dog person because they seem to be your best friend no matter what. I have a male dachshund by the way. I don't have anything against cats but, I rather have a dog :)

Dogs! I'm allergic to cats, I can't even be in the same room. I have a chihuahua who is my life. He's so sweet and loyal.

I have two dogs, silky terriers, who are great companions. We had a boxer for 10 years who passed 3 years ago and my husband and I miss him so much...he was a great family dog. There are cat allergies in our family.

I like both dogs and cats and have had both but I prefer to have cats in my house. It is much easier to have an active family life with cats. We can leave them for a day and not have to worry. (And they are cuddly!)  :cat:

I am a dog person, I have not been around cats much. My daughter have a kitten I have not been to her apartment to see it but she always post pictures about that cat, seems like it's always doing something. I have a pit bull, it is so funny at times, and forces you to play with him. :peace:

I prefer cats because they can be left alone and are basically self sufficient.  You don't have to walk them or make sure you're home to let them out.  Plus, cats curl up on your lap and purr and just hang out.  I do love dogs as well but it's not feasible for me to have one with my schedule.  Someday I would like one, though.   :cat:

I'm definitely a dog lover and I've never owned a cat.  Cat's are too mysterious for me.  I never know what they're thinking or whether or not they might share their claws or teeth with me.

I can read a dog.  They have very pure spirits and they want to give and receive love.

I've had some beautiful dogs throughout my lifetime that I've had the pleasure of bonding with.  Where some people might have a tendency to get baby hungry...

I could definitely have a tendency to be puppy hungry.

Without a question, dogs. Cats are filthy and selfish little critters (they poop and pee in your house and, worse, if you *bleep* them off, they pee on your stuff! That does not come out!). Anything with sharp claws that you can't train has no business living in your home.

Dogs love unconditionally, believe in having to work for their food and will actually attempt to defend you int he event that you're ever attacked.

:dontknow: I never was either my whole life and I'm 59 years old.  My mother wasn't an animal/pet person.  She didn't hate them or anything just liked them from afar.  A few years ago my boys wanted to get 2 kittens from my sister and so I said ok.  Then four years ago I got a little Shih tzu and she is the light of my life.  So I guess now I'm both but I really interact better with the dog although she is more work. -0)

I have a dog and a cat and I love them both they are getting old 12 yrs. old both the cat is ok but the dog has arthritis so I am getting prepared mentally for the time but I will be sad I am home all day so they both like it and are spoiled rotten, I have a big back yard and the dog loves it and stays out all summer long he doesn't even want to come in the house at all, but as soon as it gets cold he wants to go out take care of his business and let him back in it is hilarious he doesn't like the cold especially when there's snow on the ground.

cats...they can take care of themselves better...you don't need to walk them just show them where the litter box is. you can leave them in the house all day by themselves and now come back and find everything damaged

I'm a dog person all the way, though cats seem to really like me.  Never quite understood that but that seems to be the case.

I'm a dog person for sure. A dog is so forgiving, you can be shaking your finger at him, telling him he's a bad dog for chewing your shoe laces and he'll come lick your hand as if to say"that's ok, I know your having a bad day.
And who hasn't talked to their dog and they look like they understand every word your saying? Cheap therapy in a stressful world. :)
