Title: Did you know ... ? (Interesting Facts)

Did you know ... that the 7 days of the week are named after the seven nearest celestial bodies that can be seen without the aid of a telescope?  Consider the Spanish or Italian names for the days of the week and the association becomes most evident.  (So next time you complain that the week is too long, just be thankful that there are only 7 celestial bodies that can be readily observed out there!)

Monday / lunes / lunedi' -- Moon
Tuesday / martes / martedi' -- Mars
Wednesday / mie'rcoles / mercoledi' -- Mercury
Thursday / jueves / giovedi' -- Jupiter
Friday / viernes / venerdi' -- Venus
Saturday / sa'bado / sabato -- Saturn
Sunday / domingo / domenica -- Sun
