Title: how u feel of being the youngest of your family???
Post by: acrics on September 25, 2012, 07:11:40 pm: Being the youngest in a family can be really good What it's like to be 'the baby' of the family and
because you have older brothers and sisters to take care of you as well as parents. And also being Youngest might be lucky if they get lots of attention from parents and their other siblings. I’m the youngest of 6 and i can't say i hate it because it definitely has its perks. The only things I hate is being way overprotected, I still get treated like a baby & the oldest siblings tend to want to boss you around.

Post by: skrogman on September 26, 2012, 01:00:59 am: I was the youngest of 7 and there was a 10 year gap between myself and the twins next eldest above me. Because of this, it was great because by the time I was maybe 10, everybody else was moving on with their lives so I was kind of like an only child with brothers and sisters. Holidays were huge, and with six brothers and sisters each with kids of their own, there was always a birthday, anniversary, baptism, or something or other going on. The only disadvantage I really had is by the time parents get around to number 7, ya really can't get away with much, because nothing I could ever do was original...someone had already tried to get away with that before. But, I think being from a large family (and my dad was the youngest of nine kids) keeps life busy and exciting.

Being last in line I got away with a little more than my older brother & sister did
but I also got my sister's hand me down clothes rather than new ones.

All in all though I love being the baby.

Post by: kilophkadamas on September 26, 2012, 05:06:26 am: I'm actually the oldest, and coming from my perspective, I wish I was the youngest. The youngest one in my family may get the brunt of the teasing, but they also have the least pressure and responsibilty growing up.

Post by: vp44 on September 26, 2012, 06:44:40 am: I am the youngest and my brothers are very protective even till this day. I was also spoiled by my dad cause I guess he thought awww his baby girl. My mom used to send me alot of things she would make and she taught me how to crochete, also use a sewing machine when I would visit her. I do love being the baby cause you get treated like a princess. :thumbsup: 8)

Post by: devideddi on September 26, 2012, 06:46:59 am: I am the baby of 7 but I didn't get all the protection or get babied. I got less attention because my parents had already been thru everything before me. Nothing was new, i just seemed like one more thing they had to do. :sad1:

Post by: vickysue on September 27, 2012, 06:13:53 pm: I often wished i was the youngest, but alas i was the oldest. From the time i was 10 it was up to me to take care of the 2 younger ones as mom had to go back to work. I really had no childhood. So it must be nice for those who did.
