Are you like the TLC show Extreme Couponing when shopping for groceries?
-
Nope. I don't know how they do it. It seems so tedious and nerve-wracking! I only occasionally use coupons.
-
I always try to use as many coupons as I can; but, I can never do it like they do on extreme couponing! :BangHead:
-
I do use coupons, but I am not extreme about it. :cat:
-
I hardly find coupons for the things that I buy. I think extreme couponing is another form of hoarding.
-
When I feel really industrious I will look for and cut out the coupons for the stuff that we normally buy, but most times when I get to the store the coupons are already expired. :dontknow:
-
I would use more if I could find them items I want to buy, but that never seems to happen.
-
I would love to use coupons. Not much use for them where I live. One store won't take printed coupons. Really don't have enough stores for the competition to use them. For example, I was staying in Texas a few years ago, a store they had there had store sales, coupons and would use manufactured coupons (probably printed coupons as well) I could see being able to to walk out of that store with a 100.00 worth of groceries for only 10.00. We really don't have that here.
Now if I were able to use coupons like that and the sites that pay to print and redeam wow the money I would save.
-
I am not, but wish I were....it seems too much for me to figure out, even though some say it's easy~oh well!
-
I'm a casual couponer, but I wonder how those people have the patience for that. Gives me anxiety, lol.
-
My wife use to coupon alot but the best she could ever do was about 30% off our grocery bill.
-
I occasionally use them
-
I'm not an extreme coupon shopper, but I do use coupons on items that I usually buy. Wish I could be like the extreme couponers.
-
I use coupons when it's convenient.
-
I just use coupons for things I need. Coupons are a great way to save $$$$$.
-
I am definitely not that extreme, but I do like to use coupons. I like shopping at Giant Eagle and Dave's Market because they double coupons up to 99 cents. Every little bit of savings helps.
-
I use coupons, but not extreme in any way shape or form. ;D That's too time consuming for me. I wouldn't be able to handle it. I do try to use coupons/deals whenever possible.
-
The coupons I don't use I give to other people that could use them. :)
-
Iuse coupons but usually a few each time shopping.
-
Its too much for me to keep u with
-
I admit I'm an avid coupon'er. I utilize manufacturers coupons for the things I know I'll use or already use regularly. Utilizing coupons gives me a reason to try new products out too. I find deals in the stores weekly circulars and use saving star coupons. Target has begun a good program too...they offer gift cards when you buy particular products. Just gotta watch the quantity on what is purchased. My family has to save where we can these days.
-
I always use coupons and as many as I can.
-
I try to use coupons but I'm not willing to take it to the extreme some people do. I'm not going to stay up all night getting them online or dump diving for inserts. I personally like using coupons at walmart since they accept just about any coupon including ones from other stores as long as it has a clearly marked price
-
Nope. I don't know how they do it. It seems so tedious and nerve-wracking! I only occasionally use coupons.
I feel the same way about coupons being so tedious but I am on a mission to try and use them to save money. I just started this week by buying two sunday papers and matching them to sales ads. I did find some things I can get for a $2.00 or less but most are things I don't really buy. I use a site called couponmom because she will tell you buy store and state what sales are out and what coupons to use so far it is really easy. I also want to set of my printer so I can get more coupons for specific items that I already buy. Does anyone else use any blogs or websites to help you with couponing or are you just doing on your own?

TLC is a little extreme; it would be impossible to do to that extent in some areas. Our stores have a limit on the number of coupons they will double as well as the amount. However, I do combine coupons and sales and at times get things for free or pennies so definitely worth the time and effort.
-
My wife is the one that usually handles the coupons and or bargains.
-
When I come across I helpful one I will save it, but overall no. It is too much to handle for me :P I shop online a lot to find the best base price for a product i want, so I save money that way :)
-
I look for coupons online every month or so and put them in my purse. I also find coupons on the inside of product packaging and in the Sunday paper. I don't think I would ever make an extreme couponer. A couple weeks ago, my boyfriend and I got behind an extreme couponer at the grocery store. The store was busy and the lines were long. My boyfriend found it totally annoying that this woman held up a lot of people with all her coupons. It didn't bother me too much.
-
I use coupons but not to the extreme like they do on T.V besides here in New York we don't get that many coupons in our sunday paper so I have to use online coupons but then many of the stores don't allow internet coupons.
-
I always cut the coupons and have the best of intentions to use them. But for some reason I always leave the store with the coupons forgetting to use them. Think I have to try harder. lol
-
not as bad as tlc's coupons shows but nowadays you have to try and save anywhere and everywere you can.
-
i def use a coupon if i can,,love saving money!
-
I don't go "extreme", but I usually do try to buy things that are on sale and I have a coupon for. It does make you feel pretty good when you get an amazing deal on something. A few months ago I got a 2-Liter of Pepsi Next for $.49 after a $.50 coupon. I try to avoid paying full price for anything if I can avoid it.
-
Yes I love coupon shopping but I am not an extreme shopper though. Whenever I see coupons I will cut them out or print them off the computer to save them for later and try to use them before they expire;they actually do come in good when you really need them.
-
We use don't use coupns enough. We're starting to realize that we need to do more couponing, especially since food prices have risen.
-
sometimes...but I'm going to start using them more...as I try to cut back on funds.
-
I do like to save and I am willing to scrouge for discounts by searching, printing and cutting coupons if I need to. However, I will also not just get everything under the sun because the item is cheap, especially food. I'm not a complete health nut for sure, but I am conscious about certain ingredients and strive to a degree a healthy balance on food intake in my household even if I might have to on occasion pay a premium.
-
I use grocery coupons whenever I can, but not nearly to extreme
-
I've been known to be.
-
Are you like the TLC show Extreme Couponing when shopping for groceries?
'
Yes i love to clip coupons and save money on shopping
-
NO I don't do coupons. They take up too much time. And I always forgot to take them with me.I need to,but I usually buy the off brand anyway,so the coupon wouldn't matter
-
I am not a coupon shopper, but i would love to know how to save money on food and other stuff. I have tried to use coupons but when my sister and i went to the store and looked at the product it was usely not a good deal due to the fact it wasn't something we used on a regular bases. I would take any advice on how to use coupons.
-
If something is not on special, or I don't have a coupon for it, we will just do with out it. No one can do it like the TLC show, because in the real world they do not allow people to use so many coupons for like items. I usually save about 75% - 80% on my grocery bill. I also use coupons for dining out, for trips for clothing. When your income drops by about 80 % you get to be very resourceful.
-
Yes, I am a coupon shopper, but not I am not like they are on extreme couponing. I always search for coupon codes when buying online and try to plan purchases in advance, watch for sales, and stack coupons to try an receive the lowest price for products I purchase. I have gotten pretty good at this over the years and have set a "threshold" for what I am willing to pay for some items. I try to have enough in my (to use an extreme couponing term) "stockpile" so I can hold out and wait for the lowest price before buying more of something I need.
-
It's hard to do it, I mean you have to be extremely dedicated to do it, and you must like it even a little bit. I've never been a person who would use a coupon; the closest I've been to being a Couponer (if that's a term) is using something like a frequent buyer thingie, when after a few purchases they punch your card and you a free thing. There are many stores that don't take certain coupons or aren't participating locations, so I imagine you would have to do some research as to where you can use which coupons and furthermore, ask the clerks if in fact they accept coupons. I don't know, I just don't like the whole feel of it all.
-
i love getting a good deal but i never do as well as the extreme couponing sites
-

I have always wanted to use coupons but just started a few weeks ago by buying the sunday paper. I have found that most of the time when the coupon comes out the products are not on a good sale so if you save them for a week or even two you get the better deal. Plus I try to find promotions on top of sales to really get a deal. For example CVS has extra care bucks promos where you can buy a sale item on sale use your coupon and get dollar off coupons back. Now that I started I don't think I can ever go back I love coupons.

I don't like that show, but I sure use coupons when I can to buy things I need or want.
-
I know how it's done, but I must say, buying in bulk, up to 60 liters of soda, paying just $7 for it all, that's great, but really! WHAT AM I GUNNA DO WITH ALL THAT SODA!???
-
HECK NO. There is no reason to buy that much crap. I find it hard to believe people really "need" that much stuff. Coupons are just a scam a lot of the times, I find I save more money by just getting what i need.
-
I use every single coupon I can find!
-
I love using coupons but I haven't used any lately. It is hard to find any really good coupons. I would love to get coupons for veggies.
-
I only use coupons for items I already buy.
-
I am if it's something I really want and have the coupon with me at that time. A lot of times I forget I have the coupon.
-
I have saved a lot of money using coupons...just wish it wasn't so time consuming.
-
I'm not an extreme couponer but I love when I get those buy one get one free coupons and I do clip coupons for things that I always use. I wish I had the patience to do more.
-
I use coupons, but not that extreme. I try only use one on regular things we use. No buying stuff just because it is on sale. The coupon center from the daily click actually has some pretty good ones :)
-
I am a coupon shopper - but not extreme ::) I don't have the space to go into it like on the show, but do use them for my regular shopping whenever I can ;)
-
i wish i was i dont know how bthey do it...anybody want to coach me? lol
-
I'd like to be, but I could never be quite that good! I do use coupons diligently and it helps me a lot as far as saving money.
-
same here I use the coupons alot on certain thibgs but just having hubby and i at home now have to be careful with some items i have tried to buy some things in bulk with coupons but have to be careful as some times things expire and that gets me upon
-
I use coupons. I just got my notebook organized. I love using coupons to get things for free. It takes some time but using coupons and combining them with store sales it works. I'm not at the extream stage yet. Using other kind of coupons by completing store surveys found on rceipts is also helpful. Every little discount helps.
-
Yep, I consistently look for coupons almost everyday. I don't know why they're considered to be a hassle for some people, they've been pretty helpful since I started using them.
-
Yesss, I get it from my mother
-
I use a coupon match-up database. It shows you the store you use, the items on sale, plus where to find coupons for the item. I try to buy everything while it is on sale. If something is super cheap that I do not use, I donate it to a school or church. My son's school does soup can donation the first Thursday of every month, so I try to stock up on good deals to give.
-
I wouldn't call myself 'extreme', but I do use coupons when I have them.
-
Not at all. I look for good deals, but I don't have time to sit around clipping coupons. I just buy what's lowest priced or the best value.
-
i wish i would know somebodt that could teach me how.....i could save a lot of money
-
I wish! I'm not very good at remembering to take them with me when I go to the store. I usually just look for the store deals.
-
IM soo a coupon shopper
-
99% of the time grocery shopping no i try but it never works out i forget i loose i dont try but for clothes and basically everything besides food i do not sure why maybe because its more expensive i dont know
-
I do use coupons, but I am not extreme about it. Now my best friend knows how to do GOOD!
-
YES.. to an extent.
And it is a good thing... since my surgery in the begining of November.. my stockpile has seriously helped out.. since I can not get around and wont be driving for a few months.
We buy sale items.. with coupons!!! ;D
Happy Earnings
-
Yeah, we try to use coupons everywhere we shop.. don't always remember, but try to do it.. What it saves us each trip, You would think we would always remember.. :sad1:
-
I do like to use coupons, but I always only look for coupons on item I know I will purchase or wanted to try. Don't normally worry bout places that double coupons though. What is aggravating is forgetting to use them. Nothing like getting to the checkout line and forgetting them, which I have done before!! URGH
-
I just used coupons at the store and it was alot cheaper than I planned. I use coupons from the newspaper, on line and i download them to a store shopper's card. Sometimes the discount is doubled.
-
Nah, not at all. I would like to be a coupon shopper because those women on the couponing show are saving a lot of money that can go else where such as saving or paying debts or bills. Its a bit extreme and time consuming but food does cost a lot of money and if I can eat for almost nothing, its definitely a positive look in my wallet.
-
Yes I am, I even take coupon to work to help my clients out. If they have to wait I offer them coupons. If they are upset for waiting I offer coupons to look though.
-
I am actually trying to get into the habit of using coupons for anything I can whether it's eating out, my favorite products, or anything I want to try. I just wonder how those Extreme Couponers save all that money by using coupons that only get you a few cents off. :star:
-
I would like to be efficient--i try.
-
No, I wouldn't say that I am an Extreme coupon shopper, but I do use coupons whenever I can. I get a high whenever I can double coupons. The last 2 times I went to Target I had double coupons on some products and Target had to end up paying me. I was enthusiastic! It was AwEsOmE!! (even if it was just a couple of bucks. I was still able to buy me a coffee at Starbucks!!) ;)
-
Never use coupon before. I have coupons that i don't use.
-
Sometimes it annoys me when the person in front of me use too many coupons, It takes time for the casher to scan everey single coupon, Specially when they give expired coupons and they have the guts to argue with the casher. :BangHead:
-
im not extgreme about it..if i want something im going to buy it, but i do use coupons and i save about 50% off my grocery bill each week. i have no way of stock piling anything because i dont have storage, but i do save on things i use every week
-
I use coupons for everything I possibly can.
-
I don't watch or like the show, but I am a coupon shopper whenever I can!!
-
I rarely ever use coupons. As it turns out, sometimes using coupons makes you spend more money than you mean to. Like a coupon that requires you to buy 2 of a product to get 50 cents off. You really have to pay attention to prices before you think using coupons will save you money!
-
I love couponing. I just started about three months ago. I mainly coupon personal household items and I save 75 to 100 percent every week on them. I am trying to learn how to really save on groceries but have not gotten that down yet, working on it though.
-
i like using coupons but im not as good as the people on extreme coupon show
-
According to the show, I find extreme couponing to be too time consuming and tedious. Also, need to buy a lot of stuff that you need to have space for and probably wouldn't use for months. If I have coupons, I'll use it and only for stuff that I need/want.
-
I use coupons when I have one that is for something I am going to buy anyway. I think the TLC type people and the people who use a ton of coupons end up buying a lot of stuff they normally wouldn't. And there is the point of coupons.
-
I use coupons as much as I can You can really save money when you use them, but I'm not like the extreme coupon cutters like on TV. Most of my stores won't take internet coupons :sad1: so all I can use are the ones I cut out of newspapers or the Sunday paper, but it's better than nothing.
-
Yes I sure am, and proud of it! We always take our coupons with us to the grocery store. We forgot our coupons at home once. Saving our pennies was so important that we came back home to get our coupons and then we went back to the grocery store to finish our shopping.
