I like the old tv shows, The Rifleman, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, John Wayne just to name a few. There are so many great ones.
-
Jerry Lewis was my favorite as a kid.
-
Sam Elliott isn't that old, but he was and is sooooo good looking~~
-
I liked Doris Day, Jimmy Strewt, Andy Griffin, Don Knotts, Lorette Young, all the older actors, they were the best. I like the 40's and 50's movie, Debreab Kerr, I loved her in "An Affair to Remember", that is my all time movie ever made. I still cry at the end of the movie. Hope everyone has a wonderful Weekend and may God bless each of you and keeps you safe.

Humphrey Bogart, Jimmy Stewart, James Cagney and Spencer Tracy. :D :D :D
-
John Wayne was heads above the rest for me.
-
Yeah, John Wayne is an icon. Love Bogart and Catherine Hepburn, and so many more. They were real actors back then.
-
Yeah they are ok.
-
I loved Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson in The Glenn Miller Story but my all-time favorite is James Cagney as George M. Cohan in Yankee Doodle Dandy.
-
Gregory Peck and Jimmy Stewart played some wonderful roles. I thought Orson Welles was incredible in Citizen Kane. Marlon Brando was a bit later, but even some of his earliest work (like On the Waterfront) is great.

Jimmy Stewart is my fav. Danny Kaye was my fave as a kid.

i've been on a Dan Duryea kick lately. In the 40's he played a lot of disreputable characters, in the 60's he played more cowboy (!) roles and in Peyton Place. In reality he was married to the same woman for around 40 years or so, and died of cancer one year after she did. He was a pretty good, solid actor--especially like him in The Little Foxes and Too Late for Tears.

Yeah, Jimmy Stewart, Lee Marvin and John Wayne in Who Shot Libert Valance (sp), But some great movies back then.
-
How about Telly Savallas (Kojack) and Anthony Quinn (Zorba the Greek)..............Greats!!!!!

I haven't watched many of their movies... but I do love James Steward in every role I HAVE seen him in... Also a John Wayne, George C. Scott, Charlton Heston, and Steve McQueen fan when it comes to the oldies.
