I have tried deep fried turkey. I must admit, fried turkey tastes sooooooooooooo good!

If the weather is good, I'll deep fried the turkey outside.

Deep fried turkeys are so good especially if they are not dried out. I like the skin on off the turkey.
-
Deep fried turkey that is some really good stuff.

Never cooked fried turkey myself but I love it. Cook it outside. From all the places I've had it they always cooked it outside.

I never tried fried turkey before. This is a bad idea, healthwise i quess. Remember that too much fried food is bad for your cholesterol. It is best to roast it. Enjoy...

It's actually not very bad for you because the oil is so hot it flash fries the turkey initially thus preventing the turkey from soaking up the oil. Just don't eat the skin if you're worried about the fat and cholesterol.
We've fried turkeys every year for almost a decade now and the most important thing to do is make sure it is completely thawed.
Second, measure the amount of oil you need by placing the turkey (still wrapped in plastic) in your fryer and filling the pot with water until the turkey is just covered. Remove the turkey then measure out the water. That's how much oil you need.
Third, use injectable and shoot up your bird. If no injectable can be found use strained Italian Dressing.
Fourth, lower the turkey very slowing into the oil and wear a glove.
NEVER fry it in your garage. Always out on concrete.
Just go online to find the amount of time and temperature.
Enjoy!!

I don't think I will try this, because I surely don't know how :dontknow: to do this and do not want to start a fire. I would love to do it but I think this year I will just bake mines once again. ;D ;D

I think i saw a new gadget from Butterball that is safe for indoor frying.

I have never had a deep-fried turkey it looks okay I guess that you hear so much about people getting burnt houses called by the other things that I think it is very dangerous to do a nice you are an expert at doing it and how you become expert by doing it which is very dangerous so I guess i will never get a deep-fried turkey!

It is very good, but have never done it myself. I have seen so many people with grease burns from working in restaruants, so have a healthy fear of hot grease. Everyone needs to be really careful and what ever you do do not let your children near where yu are frying the turkey.

I don't have any tips, but I agree with everyone else that it's tasty. I've only had it once, but hope to have it again this year.

I have never tasted it so have no opinion about it. I would like to try it though.
