I have just retired again for the 2nd time. How about you. Still working? Have you retired and gone back to work. Have you retired more than once?

Re: Retired. I have Retired in 2006 and I have not went back to the Work Force.

Retired in 2000 and have no interest in going back to work ever again.
-
I wish I could retire. I'd do it today if I could. I'm tired of working.
-
I retired 2yrs ago. I work about four months out of the year and than can take the rest of the year off. It is nice to be able to spent time with family.
-
I retired 3 years ago and love it. I work a part-time job to have extra spending money and also to go out of the house, but love retirement.
-
I consider myself retired, as well. I'm going to school and I'm doing certain things on my computer at home but I answer to no one.
It's heavenly.

Months ago I wished I was a senior citizen getting ready for retirement. I don’t even want to wait until I’m 65 or 70. It seems like eons for me to reach that age. :'( By the time I reach old age, maybe Social Security won’t exist anymore. I don’t like today’s workforce. Some people are just plain nasty and difficult to work with. They are not nice at all.

I would love to retire, but I've got around 13-16 years to go before I could actually do it.
-
Well, I am retired but I do work online with various sites. I find it fun and besides, I make some extra money.
-
I have to work about 3 1/2 more years before I can retire. I'm working on online things to have extra money when I retire.

I retired from the US Navy in 1994 and went to work for the Govt in 1998 and retired again in 2010. I have not gone back to work since. I would like to do a part time job but, can't find one in my field, they all seem to be full time. Plus my age puts me at a disadvantage unless I want to work for WalMart.!!

I was forced into retirement by becoming medically disabled this year. I was not suspecting it and have been aware of the disease (RA) for sometime but never would have dreamed it would put me in this position at such a young (56) age. So retirement for me in a little convoluted at this time, still trying to process it all. I imagine once I can strike a routine, I shall be rather content with it.

Retired: I am Retired, and I 'm glad you can do any thing you want to, I also love to be on my
Computer each day and earned don't have to look at a clock. Not in a rush to do anything.

I retired once and after thirty some years I don't think I would have the energy to go to work again. I do volunteer some and sing in a women's choir and go to the nursing homes to entertain.

I retired 4 years ago due to health issues and I'm very happy I did. I'm grateful that I was able to do it and like being retired very much. I just wish we felt better and were able to really enjoy it.

Haven't had a job yet and I'm still in school. ;)

I am 51 and I quit in 2001 to be a stay at home grandmother.I love keeping my granddaughters while my daughter works.Best job their is.

Retired from what? If you are truly passionate about what you do and it is positively productive, why retire? I am, so I'll die doing what I love.
-
The idea of retiring and then going back is not my idea of fun. I retired in 2003 and has never wanted to work for anyone else. Fed up with dealing with all the nasty personalities.

I wonder how many people are actually "passionate" about their occupation. I am not. That would make an interesting post in it's own right.

RETIRED I RETIRED IN 2006 and I enjoy during what you want too. don't have to look at The to wake up on time.

Well, retired, on disability. It happens

I've sort of retired ::) Don't have to report to anyone for anything, but looking for something I can do to supplement my SS and give me some accountability. FC does help. :)

I say I'm retired, with a laugh!! I keep grandkids all week and although I love them to death, that is not why I retired! If I had known retirement would be like this I honestly believe I would have kept working. Our SS is not enough for us to live comfortably on so my husband works 3 days a week to make enough for groceries and gas but I'm tied down with the grandkids and can't even make money working part time. The 2 daughters' kids I keep can't afford to pay me although one of them does have me on her cellphone plan and pays my part; about $50 a month. But, hey that's better than nothing. The other daughter can't even afford any amount as she is divorced now with 2 kids to support on her own. Like I said I love them all and feel guilty when I complain but that's just how I feel. I feel like I could be a lot more productive than I am sitting at home 5 days a week. Guess feeling like that comes from working for 46 years before I retired. lol The money I make here on FC does help out some too.
